I have decided to do the project by myself but Steve and Jampa responded professionally with callbacks and emails on time.Feb 23, 2020VerifiedJarrard Handyman Solutions's reply

Garbage Disposal Installation
Very good work, clean, polite and had all the right tools. He didn’t have to run off to the store and be gone for hours.Mar 7, 2019VerifiedJarrard Handyman Solutions's reply
Thank you, Ann, we really appreciate customers like you! Take care, Steve Jarrard
I have worked with Steven on several projects, he's installed light switches and fixtures for me and he ensured my complete satisfaction with those projects. I recently contacted Steven because my patio door glass had been broken out, I contacted his wife Jampa to see if Steven had any same day availability and to my surprise and joy he did. It was super short notice but Steven fit me into his schedule and came out late in the evening to accommodate me, I'm pretty sure NO ONE else would have done that especially with such short notice and for that I truly feel blessed. I will definitely hire Steven again in a heartbeat. I have some spring projects I'm gearing up for and Steven is the man i'll be calling. Thanks Steven and Jampa for not only being true professionals but also being so kind and compassionate. GloriaMar 15, 2019VerifiedJarrard Handyman Solutions's reply
Gloria, It's been a pleasure working with you. You're so pleasant and easy to work with. I will gladly help you on your spring projects and truly appreciate your stellar review! Steve (and Jampa)
He installed a new stove for us, but had to remove part of the existing cabinets to do so. He did a great job with that. And, when he discovered that we didn't have a plug for the stove, he drove to a hardware store and bought one for us himself (he did charge us for the price of the plug, but gave us an almost exact estimate before he went). I will hire him in the future.Mar 12, 2019VerifiedJarrard Handyman Solutions's reply

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?HANDYMAN: $60 / hour plus cost of materials. I am an all in one guy, rough and finish carpentry, plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, etc. That experience saves you calling multiple pros for several different projects. I keep my prices low and my customers happy. WEDDINGS: Prices vary on weddings depending on how much help the couple needs and if the officiant needs to be present at rehearsal or any other times. Price also depends on location and other factors of the wedding. There is always and additional $25 administration and reservation fee. Typical prices range between $175 and $275. TAXES: $95 is average, but this prices varies on the number of forms needed depending on the information provided.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?HANDYMAN: Set up appointment for estimate and email a formal quote - or the customer can set appointment to begin project. WEDDINGS: Once the customer agrees to hire us we schedule a consultation date. During the consultation we collect an administration and reservation fee of $25. We discuss the rehearsal, details of the wedding, services needed, vows and scriptures. I will next meet the happy couple at the rehearsal, if necessary, or will arrive an hour early to the wedding. TAXES: Meet at a local coffee shop or restaurant to discuss taxes, then leave paperwork with me and I will contact customer in a day or two with completed forms, and I will e-file taxes.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?HANDYMAN: I am a self educated man with many years of learning through trial and error. I worked as an apprentice with various professionals in electrical, drywall, construction and plumbing. In my early years I was self-taught by studying books such as "Time/Life" and "Handyman Repair" books. I also watched shows like "This Old House" and "New Yankee." With the invention of the internet I've spent a lot of self-taught hours on YouTube with DIY videos. Most of my experience is on-the-job-training, working many jobs with others until I was confident to work as a self-employed contractor, which I've been doing for over 20 years now. WEDDINGS: I have over 20 years working with weddings and have officiated for several couples from all walks of life and religious or non-religious backgrounds, TAXES: I have been doing my own taxes and others since 1980, long before the internet. Then I learned how to access updated info from the IRS through the company I was working for and learned how to prepare more advanced forms as part of their course.
