These little ones grow so fast...! Sometimes it seems like your babe is growing right in front of your eyes. They wake up from their nap and look ever so slightly different. The urge to bottle them up in this moment and keep them just as they are, is almost primal. But between feedings, diaper changes, and sleepless nights, the thought of scheduling newborn photos might feel overwhelming. This is your sign to go for it...!! I'm a former postpartum nurse with infant CPR and NRP certifications. You can rest assured that your baby is in safe hands in my studio! Newborns and their families are kind of my jam. I'll walk you through the entire process and take the 'overwhelm' out of it for you. From prepping baby for their close-up, to choosing your photos and artwork - let me guide you through until that final product is in your hands. Lindsay did some breastfeeding photos of my son and I. We scheduled it for a week in the middle of summer where we experienced extreme hot and humid weather. She approached me a couple times with concern about the heat and went out of her way to be flexible so that we could be comfortable during the shoot. When we arrived to our appointment, she was down to earth and I immediately felt at ease. I had to bring my 3 year old as well as my infant and she was incredibly patient and sweet with him. She was even prepared with organic bug repellant! Lindsay finished our shoot and then took extra pics of my boys. This was not included in the shoot. She went above and beyond! I was told I would get some sneak peeks in a couple days and final pictures in a week. She finished the sneak peek that evening and gave me the finals within a couple of days. Not only was she ahead of schedule, she included extra pics! She is professional, down to earth, and her work speaks for itself. This shoot was by far the best I've experienced with any photographer or photography business. Not only did I gain a photographer for our future family photos, I gained a friend.

Lindsay took our maternity and newborn shots, and we were extremely pleased with the photos. Not only was she professional but also made us feel comfortable. She came well prepared but was open to any ideas we had. Both my husband and I enjoyed our time with her. Lindsay did such a wonderful job on my son's newborn pictures. She not only gave us tons of her time with outfit, prop changes, and even a bottle feeding but also got us the edited pictures back very quickly. Couldn't have asked for a better experience!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I am currently offering a complimentary set of birth announcements or holiday cards for customers who book through Thumbtack! (Newborn customers must include family portraits to take advantage of this offer, as I’m trying to round out my portfolio 💛)
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
It all starts with a phone call where we get to know one another and I learn exactly what you are hoping to achieve with your newborn’s photos. You will have a chance to ask all of your burning questions, and express your likes and dislikes. We’ll plan your session and schedule it for the week or two after baby is born, then schedule your reveal and ordering appointment for a week after that. At your reveal appointment, you’ll have a chance to choose your the digital and physical prints included in your package.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am also a registered nurse and formerly worked in a postpartum setting. You can trust that your newborn is in safe hands at a shoot with me! Plus, I have all of the tips and tricks to share with you on how to soothe and comfort your newborn - I’ve had clients call me the “baby whisperer.” ☺️
