Mike was fantastic! On time, very knowledgable, friendly and reasonable rates. He was able to repair/install several items that needed fixing in my home in a short amount of time. Will definitely be using this service again.
the job was done on time and very professional..... I'm gonna use the service any time i need it in the future.
I originally called Roman to replace our front door, including the trim around it. After seeing the door, he said he could fix the rust in the door and save the trim. The door looks as good as new for a fraction of the cost of replacing the door.
We had a very large job - painting the exterior of a three story house, cornice repair, tuck pointing, painting a garage, and staining a privacy fence, and a variety of other small repairs to the exterior of our home. Dominic was very prompt and responsive from the outset - he was the first person to respond to our request for quotes, his quote was delivered quickly, it was very detailed, very professional, and very fair for the amount of work we needed done, which was extensive. He was very collaborative with us on choosing colors, advising us of the best way to proceed with repairs and flexible when unexpected repairs and issues came up. He was very good about communicating with us throughout the process, and when it came time to settle up, there were no unexpected costs or issues, he stuck very much to the original quote, which was refreshing. He was honest and really went above and beyond what was expected. The work done was of very good quality, the painting in particular. He was meticulous about the aesthetics of how the job turned out. We are very pleased with the outcome of the work, and love the new look of our home. We would happily recommend Dominic and his crew, and will be hiring him again for other work we need done. This was a very extensive job, and as our home is over one hundred years old, it was a complicated and difficult job. His attitude was wonderful, and the work done was excellent.
The Board of Directors of the Stone Bridge Villas Condominium Association in OâFallon, IL, contracted with the Barrale Brothers to paint the exterior siding, trim, doors & shutters, and garage doors on 16 residential units and the Association Clubhouse, a total of 7 buildings. Painting started on May 1, 2015, was finished on July 3, 2015, and was frequently interrupted by rain during the wettest period (May-June 2015) in OâFallon history. The most impressive part of this job was the skill with which the Barrale Brothers applied a single, thick coat of paint to our units with no drips, no runs, no sags, and no slop-overs on adjacent items. The Barrale Brothers even removed (and replaced) shutters and downspouts to ensure a complete and uniform coat of paint on our units. Throughout the entire process, the Barrale Brothers were prompt, punctual, courteous, and enthusiastic. They made sure that our residents were not inconvenienced when front and garage doors were painted. Several of our residents specifically commented about the terrific job that our painting contractors were doing. The Board of Directors fully concurs with that assessment and eagerly anticipates their return next summer when we will paint another six buildings.
Andy painted our front office which was a very dark red. We chose a light blue color. He is so organized and did a perfect job. He also painted our trim and caulked around the baseboard and crown molding. We couldn't be happier and will definitely use him again. It's good to know he is able to do all types of renovating and I would trust him to do a great job.
I really don't know where to start. I contacted Bill on a Thursday and he was at work on our remodeling project on Monday morning. We had a short timeline and much to do including wallpaper removal, painting, finish trim and a bathroom remodel. Bill showed up every day, worked hard, and got the job done. His work quality and attitude are both outstanding. He got the work we needed done and we are very happy with the results. I will hire him again. Because I'm sure we'll have more to do!
Randall repaired a piece of vinyl siding that blew off from a storm. He also made a quick repair to a section of our wooden fence at no extra cost.
Chuck finished some drywall for us in a downstairs bath and then proceeded to hang a door and trim. The work was excellent and a great value. He is a very pleasant person to work with as well.
IKEA furniture assembly - multiple pieces. Dennis and Joe did an excellent job putting it all together. They arrived exactly when they said they would and packed up all the discarded boxes in a neat stack. I would use them again!
As you continue to build the customer base in your growing business, I suspect documentation from a loyal and frequent customer might help to give prospective clients piece of mind as they consider contractors for work on their homes or businesses. Therefore, I thought it would be a good idea to take a minute to summarize the work you have performed at our home over the last few years. Five years ago, you tackled a pretty big job at our house when we found the door to our patio deck had rotted. The ensuing water damage stretched underneath the floor of our kitchen requiring floor infrastructure and deck header board to be replaced. Along with several skilled workers, the door and frame were completely replaced and the support structure underneath our kitchen floor was replaced to near-original integrity. All of this was done at a very fair price and I remain grateful for your role in this project. A few years later, you responded to our need to replace some of the garage framing materials which had fallen into decay. You promptly arrived repairing the frame and trim work cleaning up the area around the decay nicely and restoring it to near-original condition. This work required some delay in completion due to paint drying, etc. You found ways to keep busy with other customer jobs, but then returned before end of day to complete the job. Again, the work was performed very carefully with good quality and at a very fair price. Lastly, when we needed work performed on a number of smaller projects, you arrived prepared to complete all of the tasks at one visit. These needs involved wall repair and painting, installing a water line from our kitchen sink to a new refrigerator and repairing the lighting fixture in our laundry room. You completed the tasks in a very short amount of time and once again, with quality workmanship performed at a very fair price. While I hope we will not need too may repairs in the near future, I look forward to calling on you to perform the work we need done when the time comes. Feel free to share my name and number to any of your prospective clients. I will be happy to provide them the details which qualify you to be the best choice for having contracting services performed at their home or place of business.
Mr. Wilson repaired an exterior spigot for me. Him and his assistant were very professional, punctual, and reasonably priced. We were impressed and decided to have them do some concrete work on our driveway and paint our two story deck too. We will definitely use Wilson Construction in the future and we will highly recommend their work to anyone.
My proposed vent repair involved tearing out a ceiling. That would have made it a three-day project. Mike, from Above and Beyond proposed venting in the opposite direction through an unfinished store room. The job was done in three hours, and the installation showed masterful engineering and craftsmanship. Their slogan says it all, "If I can't fix it, it ain't broke."
Rollie was quick to get the job done and did a superb job. We needed someone to climb to the top of our 3rd story dormer window and repair some trim around the dormer so squirrels couldn't get into our attic. Rollie was able to fit us in within 2 days of getting the call and get the job done in less than an hour!
Morganco rehabbed my entire home. We have owned our home since 1982 and had not updated it since. We had Morganco do our kitchen, three bathrooms, paint everything, and add special trim in the family and dining room. They also added a paver patio in the back yard. Everything looks great and we are very happy. The price was better than the other bids we got.
Tom Daley has done a thorough and professional job while helping me maintain my Wildwood rental property from out of state. He has removed an entire tree and landscaped the area, cleaned gutters, tackled a mystery plumbing leak (which he inexpensively fixed with caulk and a dab of paint), repaired some exterior trim boards, and more -- all without exorbitant "trip charges," material markups, or doing a crap job because he know's I'm out of state and will never see it. I trust Tom Daley absolutely to advise and repair on all manner of home repair and handyman task in West County St Louis. So glad I found him!
James did an outstanding job on my bathroom remodel. He showed up on time, kept me from going outside my budget, and involved me on every step of the way. I would definitely use him again on my next project.
Brian installed laminate in my bathroom shower and quarter round in two bedrooms, and caulked several plaster cracks. My AC went out while he was working on the bathroom job, and he was able to fix my AC, because he is HVAC- certified. He even pitched in and helped my moving helpers with a few things. Prices were very reasonable, and Brian is pleasant, honest and trustworthy. He will text you before he arrives and let you know his schedule. I have already recommended their services to several friends. Thanks Handy Wise Men for making my move less stressful!
We used Scott for our Lake Sherwood Lake House for several projects. Painting all exterior doors, interior stairs, ceiling repair, etc. Plus he installed all new baseboards on the entire main level. The finished work was excellent and his pricing competitive. The baseboards looked exceptional and he handled everything from getting the wood, installation, painting & caulking. He went to the house several times to check his measurements and the majority of his prep cutting was done off site making the actual installation go quicker. On the painting it was good but we did have to request that he follow up on some missed spots and apply another coat of paint. Ceiling repair & painting was very good as you can not even see the repair. Communication... His communication style is gruff, when he firsts meets people he is not very friendly and is quick to bad mouth things. He made negative comments to others working at our house, spoke poorly of other vendors and was quick to offer his opinions that we purchased crappy paint, did not like our wood floor choice, etc. (Behr Marquee paint at $48 per gal is hardly crappy paint and received the highest ratings from consumer reports) After my first meeting with him I was not going to hire him because of his initial approach. But then reading his reviews and checking his ratings with the BBB decided to use his services. We share this because after you get past this he is friendlier and his work is very good. He ended up actually paying compliments about the work of our flooring installer and did apologize on a few mix ups. Scott was very responsive via text and was prompt to follow up with us. He worked quickly and completed everything right on schedule. In fact, ahead of schedule! Overall we were pleased with the work he did for us but just know it might be a little bumpy process.
Ed did a GREAT job on some repairs to our 1936 home that were necessary before we could put it on the market. The project involved a lot of different skills - everything from lead paint removal and repair to interior painting, some kitchen remodel, drywall repair, bathroom remodeling, and other odds and ends. He was a great craftsman, very professional in his work, and honest, reasonable, and competitive in his rates. He was prompt, diligent, hard-working, and we had no complaints whatsoever. I would absolutely recommend Ed and Ten Star Construction to my friends and family, and anyone else in need of a skilled handyman, and would hire them again for any needs my family would have in the future.
Barry is amazing craftsman. Barry and his crew built a new bathroom and shower room in our last house. The results were stunning to say the least, everything was first class, the fixtures and the craftsmanship. Barry also did roof work, carpentry and trim. I can in all honestly give my highest recommendation. David
Hired Steve to insulate, drywall, and paint our garage, and to replace several pieces of trim around several doors. Steve did a good job on all of it, but will tell you that plastering is a bit of an art that can be challenging. I would hire Steve again for any carpentry needs.
Julio is a hard worker who provides quality work with professionalism. The repair he delivered on my wood fence was fantastic. I highly recommend his services. Jay N.
Phillip painted our garage doors all exterior wood trim on the front of the house on the first floor level and a couple of interior house doors. We struggled finding a painter to do the work and Phillip came to our rescue immediately. Since we were wanting this job done asap before bad weather comes our way . Found him thru Thumbtack, Inc on Friday afternoon and was at our house promptly at 9am the following day as promised. We plan ho use Phillips services again in the Spring to power wash our siding/deck. Phillip aimed to please.
I was really impressed with Ken's work. I hired him twice already. He is a very honest, punctual, competent & professional individual. He installed 4 doors in my mother's house, 2 exterior doors & 2 storm doors. He did an excellent job. He worked very hard & diligently. He is very affordable & fair. I look forward to working with him again in the near future
The original work entailed matching 100 year old wood exterior trim around a door and window. The work was beautiful and a perfect match. I was so impressed with the quality, price and Mark's professionalism, I added concrete and electrical work. The concrete pad in the basement was to level a bathroom and took a disaster done by a previous plumber and fixed it up wonderfully. The electrical troubleshooting fixed a long standing problem worked on by 3 separate electricians and our exterior lights work for the first time in 5 years. Mark is a wonderful person, he noticed a problem door that wouldn't close properly and he just took 5 minutes to fix it for free! I have told all of the people I know about him and the quality of his work (which is something I never do but Mark is so unusual as a person) He is always on time, does a high quality and is reasonable. I will definetly hire him in the future for any work I need and encourage you to give him an opportunity - you'll not be disappointed.
I have used Proctors Unlimited on multiple occasions both for my home and rental property from roof repairs to fixing an exterior screen door. Cole is always professional and ensures the work is completed properly and timely. There was one instance in which he installed a ceiling fan and an installation defect came to light afterwards. Cole proactively followed up and returned to rectify the problem, at no additional charge of course. I would definitely recommend Proctors Unlimited for both the most simple and complex of projects!
We provide an all in one service with a smile and guarantee our work .
