We were told by Jesse Drury that it would take 5 days to complete our siding and install a door and window. We are now into our second month and the work is not done. Jesse would go a week or more without sending workers to the house and when he did, only one person would come. They left trash all over the yard including large boxes, soda and water bottles, cigarette butts, nails, food containers, wood that was torn from the house and siding, fascia, soffit and guttering material. We had many complaints from neighbors because the trash was flying into their yard with the wind. After repeated attempts to have them come pick up the trash, they finally came a week later and did so but when they did, they tore up our yard leaving deep tire tracks and ruts throughout the property (the nails and the cigarette butts have not been picked up, and they are all over the yard.) They did damage to our flower beds and landscaping in front of the house, and have not replaced the dead and damaged plants. They also knocked down our brick flower bed and left it all over the front and side of the house. I didn't see one of the large bricks, and I hit it with our riding lawn mower, causing damage to the mower. The one time that Jesse sent a full crew to work on our house, he came out and pulled them off the job and told us that they had a personal problem to handle... the entire crew. A week later, one worker showed up and told us that they were pulled off the job to start a new one. His employee, Eugenio, said that he had to leave his crew at another job and do our house when he had the time, by himself. This happened many times over the course of the past month and a half. Jesse Drury came and measured our front door so that it could be custom made. It took one month to make. When we got the door, he realized that his measurements were 10 inches off. Instead of telling us, he kept it from us for over a week while he tried to figure out how to install it on our house. He finally had it returned and we had to order a new one, taking another month, and again using his measurements, and this one was also too small from side to side, and too tall. He had to cut into the framing of our house to make the door go in. The door is in, but does not close properly and it has not been wrapped or finished like he said it would be. The worker said he was done putting the trim around the windows and I said that he missed one. He told me that he would get the moulding for it and fix it. A few days later it was still not done and he said the "boss" told him to just paint it and that I would never know. I insisted that it be fixed. They did come out and fix a few of the windows around the house, replacing the damaged flashing, but have not finished the rest. We had a very large window made for our bathroom, and it sat in the mud for over a month before it was finally put in. The window is installed, but has not been trimmed out or finished. For reasons unknown, his crew cut all the cables to our house. We had no satellite television for several days, and when a serviceman came to fix it, he noticed that the cables had been cut. He also noticed that every cable and wire going into our house was cut, except for one. Jesse said he would reimburse us for that, he has not. His worker, Eugenio admitted to cutting the wires, saying that they were in the way. The wires that were not cut were left laying in the yard, instead of being reinstalled the way they were found. The left over siding, fascia and soffit material was removed from our home and not returned to us. We also had a box of nails in our garage and Jesse came in and took them and said that he could use them on another job since we don't need them anyway. We paid for those, and they have not been returned to us. We have photos of the damage that was done to our brand new windows. The window company says that our warranty is now void. We still have not been able to get Jesse to finish the job on the windows, or anything else. There was a lot of roof damage from when they put in the scaffolding, it has not been fixed. There was also damage done to our deck when they tore down the scaffolds, they dropped them into our deck causing deep gouges and damage to the deck. The worker did a lot of damage to our j- molding and trim and to our columns. When we told the contractor about this, he said it would be fixed, instead, he spot painted it. I have photos of that to show that they paint he used was a totally different color and that is not smooth. That now has to be replaced at an additional cost to us. We had to complain to get the caulking done around the house, and not all of it has been completed. We were told that the brick would be cleaned off and caulking reapplied, but they left the old caulk up, and it is awful. At one point, I told him not to bother coming back, that we would just find someone else to finish it. We had called him and asked why no one had been here for several days. He didn't return the phone call, but texted and said that the weather was going to be bad, so they would have to come out later. It was a beautiful day, as were the three days before it, but he said he couldn't get them to work in the rain? I had enough and told him not to bother, that he would be replaced. He at that point had three workers show up within a half an hour. Another time, his worker was out here working. At lunch he left with his wife, leaving his truck in our driveway, blocking entrance. Several hours went by and no one ever came back. I called about this, he wouldn't answer. The next day, still no worker, and his truck was still blocking our cars in. Jesse finally called and said that Eugenio was out of town, but would be back later in the week and would pick up his truck when he got back. I told him that was not going to work, and that I wanted every thing picked up, and the truck removed before I had it towed. Within an hour, Eugenio was here cleaning up and removing his truck. When they put up our new exterior lighting, they knocked out our power in parts of the house. We still do not have power, and it has been almost a month. We have repeatedly asked him when he was going to fix it, and he told us a week ago that he would do it, but still has not. Because of this, we can't even sleep in our bedroom or use the master bath room unless it is light outside. We have finally thrown up our hands and have had to call an electrician to come fix it, again, at an additional cost to us. We can not afford this. Today he showed up, a week and a half has gone by since we have seen him, and I told him to leave. He refused, and the Sheriff's office was called to remove him. Last week, I filed a complaint with the Attorney Generals office trying to get help with this and my next step is the license board! This has been nothing more than a 2 month long nightmare that we can not wake up from. ‡
