Introduction: At Catering, by Chef Cox & Co. we specialize in Private Dinner Parties, Corporate Events and Specialty Desserts in the greater Saint Louis area. Our mission is to take the "Restaurant Experience" and bring it to you. We create your customized menu specifically for each event and it is then produced by hand, from seasonal ingredients to ensure the highest quality. Personal Chef

First time hiring a personal chef and was for a dinner party of 8. I was hoping that this would be like a high quality restaurant and this experience surpassed my expectations. Excellent service, and there were lots of options with the menu and the chef was open to any customizations I was wanting to do. I highly recommend to use Chef Cox & Co. Personal Chef

Chef Sara made my father's surprise 70th birthday dinner so special. The experience was just so wonderful. She is just a genuine person. From planning with her to the night of the dinner, she made everything very easy. She did everything she said she would do. The food was incredible! And when it was over the kitchen was cleaner than when she arrived. It was a fabulous night, highlighted by her great food and personality. Thank you Sara for a memorable evening for everyone!

Chef Sara and Chef Jon were absolutely amazing! I hired them for a private dinner event for two. The night exceeded my expectations by far. The food was 5 star! Chef Jon was awesome! I don't have enough adjectives to describe how great the whole experience was. I will hire Chef Cox & Co for all future events, whether it be a romantic dinner for two or a large party. They are the best!

I reached out to Sara to prepare a special birthday dinner for my wife and our closest friends. She offered us an extensive list of menu options. The charcuterie board and carpaccio to start out with was amazing. Furthermore, our entree and desert were made to perfection, and the service was outstanding.   • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

    Pricing is based on Menu selected by Customer. For Coursed Dinner Parties, it is a Price per Person format which is all inclusive (food, my time, servers / cooks time, clean-up etc.). For Events with Appetizers and Hors D'oeuvre's, it is a Flat Price format based on the Menu selected and it is all inclusive as well.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

    I typically have a phone conversation to get an idea of what the customer is looking for and any special requests or restrictions. From there, I will send a customized menu with options to choose from. Once the menu has been decided, I will send a quote with the event cost. Once agreed upon, a deposit is required which is typically refundable unless event is canceled within 48 hours of scheduled event.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

    I have an Associates Degree in Culinary Arts from Culinard, the Culinary Institute of Virginia College in Birmingham, Alabama. I have over 13 years experience in the Food Service Industry where I have worked as an Executive Chef, Pastry Chef, Chef Instructor, Personal Chef to the Anheuser Busch Family and currently as a Research & Development Chef for Bon Appetit at Washington University. I have a wide range of Culinary background and am able to prepare almost any cuisine as well as a myriad of pastries, specialty cakes and desserts.
