FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My quote is a flat rate, all inclusive. That means my travel, unloading and setup, wireless microphones, dance floor lighting, announcements as required, cocktail music, wedding ceremony music as required, special songs (first dance etc.), music for general dancing and song requests. Besides check and cash I also accept PayPal. Hourly rate - 4 hour minimum.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Once you have decided to hire me I will send you out an invoice with a cover letter. If there is not sufficient advance time I will email the invoice and cover letter. The cover letter will ask you to follow up with the names of your bridal party for your grand entrance and the songs you want for your special dances. I ordinarily do not require any money down. I know that might seem risky. I am honest and trust my client will be honest as well. My threshold for requiring a contract and nonrefundable money down is $800.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I listen to the Pop radio stations so I keep up with the songs that are hot and I am familiar with the songs and know the artists. I poll my younger relatives and get a pulse on what music they and their friends like. Check weekly the Billboard Hot 100 charts and make sure my music library is up to date. In the genre of hip hop I always opt for the radio edit without the profanity.
