FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Standard pricing is nearly impossible to quote without knowing project specific information. Be very careful when selecting a firm that offers pricing prior to getting specific details about project scope.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We first listen to our Client's goals for their project. Once project goals are clearly defined we move into the schematic design phase where rough design sketches are prepared illustrating room adjacencies, general floor plan layout, and front elevation design. Once schematic design sketches are approved we move into the design development phase. In this phase floor plans are refined, remaining exterior elevations are developed, and finishes are defined. We offer interior design services which would begin during this phase if requested by the Client. Next, following Client approval of design development drawings, the construction document phase begins. During this phase all pertinent information is added to plans for permitting and construction. Clients have the option to utilize our construction administration services throughout construction of their project.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We have a highly skilled staff of architects, project managers, and drafters. In addition, our firm is an Energy Star partner. As of 2015, we were one of only two architectural firms in the state with this distinction. Our architects have attended prestigious universities such as Harvard, Washington University, Kansas University, Maryville University, and Drury College. All of our architects continue their education annually via continuing education programs offered through the American Institute of Architects, the Association of Licensed Architects, and others.
