FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
New clients can get a sample of my editing skills to decide if they want to work with me. I will edit 1,000 words for free. This also gives me an opportunity to see how much work is needed on the project and allows me to better know how long it will take. My fees are based on word count and will be provided upon request.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to get to know a little about their writing style by reading an excerpt of their current or a previous work. This lets me get an idea of how best I can help them make their project the best it can be.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I don't consider myself a professional because I don't have a degree in English or other higher education pertaining to editing. I am, however, constantly reading and studying on my own. If I find I'm not sure about something, I make it my goal to learn as much about the subject as I can. I've also been editing for 7 years now and have many happy, repeat customers.
