We never got as far as Kazam Clean actually cleaning my home. 2 days prior to my 1st scheduled appointment, a $200 hold was placed on my credit card. Since I was unaware this would happen, I contacted the company & was told it "was to make sure the money was there."
On the day of my 3:00 pm scheduled appointment, I received a call from Jenna at 1:50 pm saying that hey had finished early & were on their way to my house. I told her I was at the dentist, had "just sat down" but wouldn't be long. She immediately said that they would reschedule. Since I has spent time clearing off every surface to expedite their work, rescheduling wasn't my preference. Plus it was an hour & 10 minutes before their appointment. I said I would be home before 3. I was then told that my appointment had been cancelled. There was a leeway of 30 minutes before & 30 minutes after a scheduled appointment in their favor, not mine. I left the dentist at 2:35 & was home at 2:44. In the interim, I texted that I would like the hold removed from my credit card, and my account with Kazam closed. That was done quickly. The last response I received told me that we weren't a good fit for them.
Every action was about their convenience, not mine. I looked on they website & I didn't see anything about a hold on payment 48 hours prior to the appointment. Just tell me you're concerned & I'd have paid you in cash! Nothing was said about the 30 minute window before or after an appointment. As far as I was concerned I was 16 minutes early for the appointment.
Ultimately, I cannot recommend this company.

Christine is retaliating because I told her she was not a good fit for your company because she blames us instead of taking responsibility for being late to her cleaning appointment, refusing to reschedule, and just overall being easily irritated and frustrated.
First of all, we never got to even clean her home because she was LATE. In fact, she had just started her dental appointment when we arrived to her home. So I thought it would be reasonable to reschedule because I had 3 of my cleaners with me in the car sitting idle in front of her home, all on the clock! That's more than $100/hr being wasted with no way of knowing when she would actually be back home.
Unfortunately Christine got really irritated because I wanted to reschedule. She had no flexibility and insist on blaming me instead of taking responsibility for not being available when her appointment started. So she abruptly wanted to just cancel her service with us. I told her that's fine because she's not a good fit and that seems to have made her even more angry. The truth is I don't retain clients that are easily irritated, too rigid, or strange. So I got a one star rating for a home I didn't clean, because the client was late and chose to be at the dentist instead of being home for her appointment and refused to reschedule.
You can't make this stuff up! Regarding the credit card hold, this is not unsual practice., hotels place holds on your card, gas stations, etc to verify the funds are available. This was also terrible upsetting to her. I'm happy to take the one star rating to avoid doing business with clients like Christine.
