Monique has been a trusted adviser for me and was just what I needed to help work through a very uncertain time personally and professionally.
Unlike others I've used for guidance previously, she was able to span, link, and synthesize issues going on at work and in my personal life. She shifts between listening and being prescriptive in a way that keeps each session dynamic and lively. She brings in thoughts and philosophies from many different teachers and styles without being wedded to any one particular school of thought.
She also has a gift for sharing personal anecdotes that emphasize her belief in the techniques she espouses and show how she "practices what she preaches". She is open to alternative viewpoints and can discuss the pros and cons of different belief systems, which makes the coaching process feel very collaborative. Her approach is very customized and diligent, she prepares for each session and links back to the issues / topics discussed in prior sessions to bring continuity to the whole process. I especially appreciated the "homework" assignments, which made me feel like I had an active role in working through the issues and could make progress on my own outside of the coaching sessions.
