FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I offer 1-on-1 tutoring as well as small-class ACT Workshops. The ACT Workshops are split into two Saturdays. We go for 4 hours (from 12:30 to 4:30) each Saturday. The total cost for all 8 hours of a Workshop is $260 ($32.50/hour). For 1-on-1 tutoring, I travel to the student, usually meeting at a library near the student. The cost for 1-on-1 is $80/hour, and every 6th hour is a half-price hour.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I was contacted by the parents of a hard-working senior that had taken the ACT four times and couldn't get above a 22. This score was high enough to get her into college, but not the college she really wanted to go to. For that college, she needed a 24, and time was running out. Her parents hired me for 6 hours of ACT tutoring, but were a bit wary, as they had used another test prep service before with only mediocre results. When the results came back--a 25--the family contacted me to let me know how thrilled they were that this student could now attend the college of her choice.
