FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
While we would like to have a standardized pricing for all jobs, it just isn't feasible. Every kitchen and bathroom is different, every customer has different wants & needs.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When we receive a call for new work we set up an appointment to meet with the customer in the space needing the work. We come out take measurements and talk about our plan for the project. We also try to look for any hiccups we may incur during the construction process the customer may have missed. (ex. HVAC vents running in a wall to be removed, etc...) Then we will go back to our office and start the bidding process. When completed we will send our customer a contract stating the work that is to be performed and the required deposit. Our field staff works Monday-Friday 7-3:30 and the office staff is available Monday-Friday 7:30-4. JR Muehling Construction is covered by Workers Comp insurance & Liability Insurance.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Jim Muehling, the owner, has been working in the construction industry for 30+ years. He worked construction in the summers of highschool and continued a full time construction job while earning his bachelors degree from SLU. He started JR Muehling Construction shortly after finishing his degree. We are constantly working with other trades and stay up to date on the most recent code standards.
