FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Every project is different. Floors can be ceramic, porcelain, marble, terrazzo, granite, slate or Saltillo. Each of these can require a different type of care. Carpet and hardwood care is generally bid by the square foot. Are there a lot of stairs? Is the floor continuous? Does a shower or tub need just a cleaning, a cleaning and re-caulk, or does it also require a re-grout? Sometimes moisture has penetrated the wallboard and it has rotted out. Sometimes all that is required to remedy this situation is a patch. Other times a complete wall rebuild is required. This is why I offer free estimates.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have several IICRC accreditations in the cleaning area of my business. This organization requires continuing education to maintain accreditation. I have maintained this accreditation for the past five years.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have done handyman work since childhood. Although I have a Bachelor of Science Degree in business, I have always utilized my talents in some form to build and repair many projects for others throughout my life. When I retired from working in the auto repair business seven years ago, I looked for something else to do and came across a company that trains to help others set up their own business in tile and grout cleaning. I soon discovered that almost every project had a problem to fix and I knew I was the guy who could get the job done.
