Better Painting is a veteran-owned painting company serving St. Louis and St. Charles County. Andrew started the company in 2019 after more than 15 years in home improvement and renovation, specializing in drywall and paint.
We handle interior and exterior painting, cabinet refinishing, limewash, drywall repair, popcorn ceiling removal and pressure washing, for homes and commercial buildings alike. Licensed, bonded, insured and BBB accredited, with a crew of 10.
Every estimate is done in person. It takes longer than a number over the phone, but it is the only way to price the job honestly and it means no surprise costs once we start.

I am a commercial property manager and I cannot say enough good things about Better Painting. This veteran-owned company recently completed exterior window repairs and painting on a 25+ year-old commercial building after the windows sustained significant damage from birds, and the results were exceptional.This was not a simple paint job. The existing windows had a decorative composite finish that needed to be carefully recreated, and the paint had to be matched to a building that is more than two decades old. They absolutely nailed it. The repaired areas blend beautifully with the existing exterior, and the attention to detail and quality of workmanship exceeded our expectations.The owner, Andrew, was hands-on throughout the entire project and incredibly responsive, professional, and customer-service oriented. He clearly takes pride in both his work and his companys reputationand it shows.Im writing this review because businesses like Better Painting deserve to be recognized. Great workmanship is important, but combining it with outstanding communication, reliability, attention to detail, and genuine customer service is increasingly hard to find.I would recommend Better Painting without hesitation and will absolutely call Andrew and his team again for future projects. Kathleen, thank you. That one was a good project for us. Recreating the composite finish and getting it to match an exterior that had been weathering for twenty plus years was the whole job, and the crew took real pride in getting the repairs to disappear into the original.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Every house is different, so we do not throw out a number over the phone or guess from photos. We come out, walk it with you, and show you exactly what goes into the price before you decide anything. No pressure and no surprise charges later.
Give us a call and you get a real person here in St. Louis and St. Charles County, not a call center and not a machine. If you have questions about your project, ask us. We are happy to talk it through even if you are still deciding.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Call or message us and a real person here in our office gets back to you the same business day. Not a call center, not an answering service, just us.
From there it is simple:
1. We come out and look at the project in person and answer your questions.
2. You get an estimate that spells out the work line by line.
3. If it looks good, a small non-refundable deposit holds your spot on the schedule.
We are usually only a week or two out, so you are not waiting all season. The crew that shows up is our crew, local guys who work for us, and you will know who is coming and when.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Our crew is trained in house on our own prep and finish standards, so you get the same quality no matter which of our guys is at your house. We are licensed, bonded, insured and BBB accredited.
Just as important, when you call us you get a real person in a local office. Not a bot, not an answering service, and not somebody who does not understand what your project actually involves. We are big on communication. Ask us anything and you will get a straight answer, before the job, during it and after it is done.
Everyone here is local. We live and work in the same area you do, so we are not shipping anyone in from out of town for your project.
