First Principles Web Design

Introduction: A few years ago, a close friend of mine had a small business that was about to go under. He had spent thousands of dollars on traditional advertising, but no one knew about his company, and customers weren’t showing up. He was literally losing money every month he stayed in business. After a round of layoffs left me jobless, I took a couple of weeks to help build my friend a website that I thought would help his local business in Springfield, MO. Fast forward three months later, and his business was bringing in over $4000/month in profit with bigger prospects on the horizon – all of it due to the website. My years of studying design philosophy and internet marketing paid off in droves for my friend’s business, and I finally saw how I could use that knowledge to help people.
