FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is super straightforward. I charge $40 an hour for dog training. If training goes over an hour, depending on how much, an additional fee may have to be added. My initial consultation is included in the first session and this almost always goes over time, but is not an issue.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We set up an appointment time and a meeting place. Usually, I will go to the dog owner's home for the initial consultation, but it depends on their comfort level, where their dog is presenting issues, as well as what their goal is for their dog. This allows me to meet their dog and hopefully see some of the behavior issues in play. We talk and I can start showing you how some of the training works. I will leave you with some things to work on and we schedule our next appointment.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I attended Karen Pryor Academy Dog Trainer Professional program, a six month program for clicker training, to earn the title Certified Training Professional. I'm current in pet first aid/CPR. I continually am learning by taking classes with my own dogs from local trainers and online. MY current dogs participate in dog sports and are currently titled in tricks, Canine Good Citizen, agility, barnhunt and rally obedience.
