What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I offer individual and family portrait sessions for the same price per hour. Fees include an on-location photo session, professionally edited photos, and a digital gallery of photos available 24/7. You can download and order prints, canvases, framed photos, photo albums and more directly from the gallery. If you want me to design a photo album, I charge an additional fee based on the size of the album.
If you were referred by a friend or client, you’ll both receive a special discount—one for your session and one as a thank-you to the person who referred you. It’s my way of showing appreciation for spreading the word!
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
As a new customer, our initial contact will be made through Thumbtack as a chat. From there, we can discuss your needs, the location of the photo session, and tips. We will determine a time and day for the photo session and meet at the designated time. I like to keep the session friendly and fun so everyone stays relaxed. After the session, I will provide a photo gallery within 5-7 days of the photo session.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I grew up in photography, and was in front of the camera as much as I was behind it. My entire life has been recorded on film and digital. You see, my father was a professional photographer and his love of photography wore off on me. Now I take photos nearly every day, whether for clients, pleasure, or social media.
Growing up in front of a camera taught me about the importance of making others feel comfortable during their sessions. During your photo session, I'll walk you through the process, including how to pose, so you can enjoy being photographed. I enjoy making photo sessions easy and fun, and I keep the mood light.
I have trained under The Photo Mentorship and Katelyn James Photography to fine tune the skills I learned growing up. I'm a perpetual learner and continue to educate myself on photography skills and photo editing.
