Lauren at Mountain Moon Photography deserves more than 5 stars, she deserves at *least* ten. My (now husband) and I decided to essentially elope last month, and that obviously complicated things to get the traditional needs of a wedding. However, Lauren was absolutely fantastic! Quick to respond to emails/messages/phone calls and offer up advice or just general knowledge of a local to the area. That is of course, the cherry on top of the sundae that is her talent! I’ve always hated having pictures taken of myself because of my appearance- Lauren was able to make me feel at ease, and get some incredible photos of us, by giving us excellent direction for the photos, and this beautiful pictures that we will cherish that I genuinely love. I can’t recommend Lauren (and her husband too!) enough. Anyone would be LUCKY to get to work with her.

We just got our engagement shoot done with Lauren and we were amazed by the results! She took in my needy considerations of poses and what types of pictures we would like as well as location. She was super easy to work with, friendly, and delivered beautiful results. She also had beautiful locations lined up for us and showed us exactly where to go as we were unfamiliar with the area. Lauren was such a pleasure to work with. To start with, our schedules are vastly different and difficult to work with as my fiancé works during the week 9-5 with weekends off and I work evenings and weekends. Also it was raining nearly every day due to the hurricane weather, but we really wanted our photos taken outdoors on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Point being, we had to reschedule several times and each time Lauren was extremely responsive and accommodating throughout the whole process. She is an absolutely wonderful communicator and highly professional.
She also worked with us to get an idea of what our vision for the photos would be and brought in several props and incorporated a few beautiful locations for us.
We could not have asked for a better photographer. She made us feel very comfortable and directed us well. We are generally not very photogenic, but our photos turned out beautifully and she was very prompt in sending the photos to us. We anticipated it taking weeks, but it only took a few days! Would highly recommend.

Lauren was amazing! We were visiting Asheville for a summer vacation and booked her for a family shoot while we were there. We told her that we wanted to shoot in the mountains. She went ahead of us and scouted the perfect place for a shoot off the Blue Ridge Parkway. She was very patient with us and gave us suggestions on poses. Our baby was not having the best day and she gave us time to warm him up to the shoot. She even sent us a sneak peek to let us know that we got some really great shots and that I shouldn't worry at all. Thanks, Lauren. Can't wait to see the rest of the photos!!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I typically like to know how long a shoot is going to take, how many people will be involved, how complicated the project will be etc. before deciding on a final price.
Typically prices range from $200- $500
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I typically like to share ideas via email, or over the phone, to determine all of the details of the photoshoot. I anticipate most shoots with only 1 location should take about an hour. If we are using multiple locations, or doing lots of wardrobe changes, it will obviously take longer.
After the shoot, I will edit all of the images. They will be uploaded to an online gallery that clients can share with friends and family. Any images will be able to be printed as the client chooses.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have always been a very artistically-minded person, with a strong interest in photography. I began doing photography professionally in 2015, and have since devoted a lot of my time to learning from other professionals in the field and growing as much as I can.
