I don’t normally leave negative reviews, but this experience was incredibly disappointing and unprofessional. I hired Mendez to install tile flooring in my home. We had clear communication in the beginning, and based on our conversations, I chose him as my contractor. I then paused my search for other professionals because I believed he was locked in for the job. Unfortunately, after multiple attempts to confirm next steps... including several texts, phone calls, voicemails, and even messages on Thumbtack..I received zero response. It's been weeks. No explanation. No update. Nothing. Just complete silence. The most frustrating part is that I know my messages were received. He read my texts, and I left voicemails clearly explaining the situation. I even gave him the benefit of the doubt in case of a personal emergency and asked for any update, even a simple "I'm no longer available." Still no response. Because of this ghosting, my entire renovation project was delayed. Time was wasted, and I lost momentum with other contractors and timelines that were dependent on the flooring being installed first..It’s one thing to be unavailable or overbooked. It's another thing entirely to ignore a client who trusted you, communicated professionally, and gave you multiple chances to respond. If something serious happened, I wish him well...but this level of unresponsiveness is unacceptable in any professional setting. Future clients should be aware of this risk.

I successfully completed two separate projects with them. They removed shrub stumps one day and trimmed the tree branches over my roof on a separate day. Both times they were punctual and took the time to explain to me what the work entailed. They gave me the best prices and did an amazing job. I look forward to hiring them for more projects.
