Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: I believe my work stands out because I bring much enthusiasm to the piano. I also create a space in which students feel safe to learn, to ask questions and to not be embarrassed by mistakes. I bring excitement to each lesson which has a way of transferring to the student and that goes along way in inspiring them to practice. That every lesson is new and exciting because each student is unique. I honor and respect each person and whatever abilities they bring to the lesson. To sit down at the piano with a student is an opportunity to share my joy of making music and an opportunity to inspire others to find their own style of making music.

Hired on Thumbtack

Farrell has been teaching our 7 year old daughter piano for a few months now and I don't know how she does it! I have witnessed a beautiful transformation in my daughter from a shy little girl into a musician. Farrell is kind, patient, warm, loving and her love for music is contagious. Thank you thumbtack for leading us to Farrell.

FAQs

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

The teacher's training, teaching style and focus should match that of the student.

  • What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

I wish that customers knew that teachers are all very different in their style and approach to teaching. Although professionally and classically trained in a stringent, rigid environment, I create an environment that is anything but rigid. My goal first and foremost is that students enjoy their learning process. Another primary focus is that I approach students as a whole person, not just the part of them showing up for a lesson. I maintain a focus on our learning process but not with a rigidity that dampens the spirit of the joy of learning. .
