To our (pleasant) surprise, Hap took one look at our deteriorating deck and didnt try to sell us anything. Instead, Hap asked us: What do you need (the deck to do for us)? None of the other companies wed visited had ever asked us that question. After we answered Haps question, he paused and then began to creatively and collaboratively problem solve with us. When wee were done, we felt heard and understood.By the time the project manager (Jose) came to do his evaluation, it was clear to us that the communication chain between sales and production was working well. Jose knew about what wed shared with Hap; and he was meticulous about the documenting (in writing and with video footage) everything pertaining to our deck replacement project.And when we had any questions, Hap, Meg, and even the owner (Eric) were quick to personally make themselves available to reply and clarify. And since wed chosen to navigate the permit process on our own, we never felt alone in the process because of the support we got from Hap, Eric, and Meg.The actual construction crew (headed by crew chief, Alberto, Jr.) that worked on our deck replacement and Bartik (who delivered materials) were EXCELLENT and a genuine pleasure to have working on our project!
