John assembled a 6 drawer dresser for me. He was friendly, professional, and very detailed. Some of the dresser parts were defective and he created on the spot fixes and was able to put together the dresser successfully. I will definitely be hiring John again for future projects.

I needed someone to build IKEA shelves inside 4 empty closets in a new home. This involved hanging metal uprights on new drywall, sometimes fastening to studs, sometimes using toggle bolts. Inside these closets, we also need to build multiple IKEA Nordli chests of drawers, 26 drawers in all. John brought all his own tools, and any needed fastening hardware, he arrived on time and completed all requested work in a timely fashion. John did a great job, my wife and I are very pleased with the results.

I typically do hourly, but am flexible. I can often come up with a flat rate, if desired.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Besides hands-on experience, I keep myself in the mix of the latest developments. I subscribe to various periodicals, keep abreast of the latest trade news, and I'm always taking one online course or another. I'm currently working on familiarizing myself with Bootstrap (a global CSS setting), trademarking, and metalworking. As to formal education, I have a J.D., a B.S. in Information Systems, and a B.A. in English.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I've always loved problem solving and I like variety in my life, so freelancing has been an amazing experience.
