Unique. Delicious. Distinctive taste in each empanada flavor. Easy navigation thru their website and Order Form. We loved the ability to customize the qty. of flavors based on our individual preferences. Excited to try more.
Last week we placed an order of 50 empanadas to surprise my family of 10 (which includes picky grandparents, college boys, a pregnant sister & health conscious parents) after traveling a 7-hr road trip. This uncomplicated stress-free, FUN finger food idea was worth it! Most impressed by how warm and fresh the flaky golden empanadas tasted as you bit into them and had cheese oozing out. Chicken, Ham & Cheese and Sweet Corn were the favorites.
Also enhancing the experience is how cool the owners are; brothers Hernan & Santiago. They brought the Latin flare and empanada enthusiasm right to our living room sharing funny stories from Buenos Aires and advising on best ways to eat them (with wine!! coffee, etc.) Definitely ordering again in December! Makus is the ideal catering option for holiday parties here in Raleigh. And I highly recommend for people who like to eat family-style and prefer to share food & stories instead of dish duty!

On September 13, 2014 Makus Empanadas caterered a fundraiser for The Piedmont Wind Symphony at my home. We could not have been more pleased!!!! The service was outstanding - not only was the service outstanding but the staff was very professional. Makus Empanandas are delicious and everyone that attended the event of 130 people raved about the quality of the empanadas - they loved them and kept coming back for more.
Hernan and his group went above and beyond the call of duty. I would contract Makus Empanadas again and would recommend them to anyone be it a casual or formal event.

I highly recommend these empanadas! Every order is fresh, they look great and taste even better. The dough is just right and has a beautiful golden color that makes you want to grab another one (I always end up eating more of these than I should). I've had all the varieties and LOVE the bacon & cheese. But believe the Chicken is my favorite. No, ground beef is. Wait - it doesn't matter, all of these are so bueno you'll look forward to them each and every time. Delicioso!

These empanadas are perfect! I've ordered several times and people keep asking for more. It doesn't matter how many I order I never have leftovers. The service is superb! Even with short notice Makus goes the extra mile and always delivers beyond expectations. I highly recommend Makus empanadas for your work or personal event.
