I will start by commending Terry Davis of Hard Body Fitness on his quick response to my initial inquiry about personal training. First impressions are lasting impressions and Terry and Vinson Smith have made a great impression on me. After speaking with Terry on the phone, I knew that I wanted to be a part of the Hard Body Fitness PTG Family! Their energy and passion is genuine and contagious! When they tell you that they are glad to see you walk in their gym, they mean it. I have no doubt that they are grateful for the opportunity to help me along my journey to a healthier lifestyle. This gym is extremely welcoming, each trainer inspires me to do a bit better than I did the day before. They have taken time to listen to my goals and work around my injures in order to get results. They help push me to my limits daily without breaking me and so far I am thankful.
Sherry has been my personal trainer for three years and I credit her with all of my understanding of physical fitness. This ranges from the importance of weight training to proper nutrition. She holds you accountable for your own health so you understand that long term goals are driven by you with the best navigation by her. She's easy to talk to, open and understanding to all levels of fitness. I continue to better myself outside the gym because of her example and encouragement.
Exercising was a long time goal I had not met. Various responsibilities always seemed to take precedent. Then, I developed sciatic nerve issues. After a hike with my children and grandchild, the pain worsened. It was then that I knew that I needed to place my own health and well being above all else, so I can continue to live a quality life as I get older and to be strong for those who count on me. I wanted to sign up for exercises classes or join a gym, but decided to enlist the assistance of a personal trainer, who would know what to do so that I would not do further damage to the sciatica. I explained my situation to the gym and Jovon was recommended to me. I knew that I had made a good decision after meeting with him. We discussed my goals and decided on days and a time to meet. Jovon customized my workouts, making each one different, and adapted activities as my needs changed. He was incredibly supportive and addressed strength, cardio, balance, and nutrition.. After only a few weeks, I noticed the positive changes in my body. I was much stronger, and the best thing is that my sciatic problem is no more! I can perform exercises that I had not even attempted in years, and feel full of energy. I can't wait until my next hike so I can see how much easier it is! Jovon has changed my life for the better.
Harry White is not your average trainer. He isn't someone who just stands above you and counts reps as you lie there soaking up the floor with your sweat. Harry always makes sure my form is spot on so I don't hurt myself while weight training. I found this very important for the days I was training on my own. Speaking of being on your own the training with Harry doesn't end when you leave the gym. He personally sends you a meal plan with nutrition information to help get you to progress in the kitchen. If you want someone who will educate you in the world of fitness and put you on a fast course towards your goals then Harry White is someone you should contact. I highly recommend him!
I started my journey with Spotlight Fitness in October-2017 which says ALOT for me because I’ve never been able to stick with gym/trainer I’ve paid for. Rasun is AMAZING and his workouts are great and different every day you attend. When I first started with Spotlight Fitness I was talking 2 different blood pressure medications along with potassium pills. With some changes in my diet and Rasaun pushing me to stay on track I’m now down to only one blood pressure medication!!! I have really enjoyed the past several months at Spotlight Fitness & if you’re serious about your health I would recommend joining!!!
I have been visiting Edge for personal training/ group classes for about the last 6 months. I highly recommend the gym for those looking to train with individualized support and attention. The gym has clients that have been training with the owner, Daniel, over the years, giving it a more personal feel. Conveniently located right outside of Uptown, Edge Fitness has an open floor plan (think former warehouse space), with all the equipment neatly laid out (weights, cardio, boxing etc). Classes and personal training sessions push you, regardless of your fitness level. Tip: Purchasing training classes also gives you access to gym facilities outside of your training sessions.
I only give 4 stars because I am early on my journey with karen, only 2 workouts so far. But, I have connected with her and very quickly she is engaged in my goals, addressing the whole package of things I need to improve, including diet, flexibility, cardio, core strength, and consistency. I appreciate already her little reminders to keep me motivated!
Justine is an amazing trainer, I was lucky enough to be trained by her for a year as a part of the University of Miami's cheerleading program. She's very attentive to the details, such as when we would be working with a weight that was too heavy or had bad form, which is what's important in strength training and conditioning. Aside from making sure we were training the right way, she would always have advice on what we should be doing outside of the gym to help improve our fitness. She not only helped us get in shape, but also helped us understand more in depth about how many things we do in our lives tie into fitness and well-being.
My experience with CJ has been AWESOME !!!! I have been trainging for 6 weeks and I can't begin to describe the great experience I am having. Coming from a person who did not like the word "exercise" and boot camp was not in my vocabulary This is by far the best work out I could ever imagine. What I like most is first, CJ is genuinely concerned about Me. He actively keeps an eye on you throughout your work out. He modifies different exercises to suit ME. He has a wide range of exercises,no one class has been the same. He doesn't try to Kill you and break you down. In fact he builds you up both physically and mentally, while always offering healthy nutritional ideas and support. I highlight the word ME because that's how I feel when I go to work out each morning,CJ makes it feel like this experince is all about ME" even though there may be 4 others in the class. He goes beyond and above by investing in his business with a variety of things such as boxing gloves and bags, weights, Exercise balls and more. He is very patient, dedicated, inspirational, funny but yet stern. Keeps you focused and coming back for more......He is always on time, room set up, warm up exercise on board ready and filled out, meal planning recommendations for the day.... and daily incentives and rewards to redeem..... Top Notch quality and expertise. CJ is the Man One should come try it for one day and trust......you will be back I am 6 weeks in and still as excited as day 3, after the first and only epsom salt bath

Rick is a fantastic trainer. I've been going to Burn Training for a year and he has transformed me and my old habits and ways of thinking. I will never go back to my previous eating habits and sporadic exercising. I feel like I've acquired a new education, as far as using proper technique, knowing the mind- muscle connection, and knowing what it feels like to push myself further than I thought I could. I've had amazing results through one on one personal training, Tabata classes, cardio boxing, and circuits. He varies my workouts all the time, always challenging me. I always look forward to going. Rick is so professional, easy to work with, always encouraging me to keep on at the right time. I love the smaller atmosphere at Burn, as opposed to the huge gyms. You won't regret choosing Burn Personal Training!
After wasting an absurd amount of money on a trainer at a big box gym who didn't let me lift heavy, pushed supplements on me, and didn't seem to know how to return a phone call, finding Keith has been a huge blessing. The work out plans are phenomenal. The nutrition is spot on. And perhaps the best part about the whole thing is that Keith is willing to put together a plan for you no matter WHAT your goal. When I first met with him, I told him I was interested in bodybuilding. Instead of shying away from a challenge or trying to get me to lower my goal like the other "trainers" I talked to, he never hesitated and has been on my side since day one. He's always available if I need help, and is quite honestly one of the best, if not THE best, trainers I've ever worked with. Don't waste your time at big, pretty corporate gyms. If you want to get strong, this is where you want to be.
You can really tell he loves what he does. Pushes you to bring out your inner champion! Professional, personable and passionate. Never felt more comfortable and confident with a trainer.
