FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
In recent years I taught college art classes. Prior to teaching art, I was a fabric designer for 20+ years. As a fabric designer, I did a lot of painting, particularly in watercolor. Even though painting on faces is different from paper, there are still some similarities and I believe my past experience has helped my face painting tremendously.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Before the pandemic, I was a professor of art at a community college. After the pandemic hit, I found that Ceramics and Sculpture were not ideal subjects to be teaching remotely! Somewhat randomly, I tried face-painting and immediately enjoyed it. I painted under another face painter for a year, and then started my own business.
