- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I attend no less than one major photography conference each year. Conferences sponsored by organizations such as the Professional Photographers of America (PPA) and AfterDark.edu provide high quality education spanning equipment, sales, photographic theory, and a host of other topics. Conferences also allow for networking with other great photographers from around the country (and world!). Aside from the conferences, I constantly read photography books, blogs, and I participate in a lot of web-based training offered by some of the top photographers in the country.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Corporate headshots, weddings, special events, and general portraiture (family and high school seniors).
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Don't just focus on price. Pay close attention to the photographer's style and the quality of their work. Speak with each photographer to determine if they fit your vision for the project, then request an estimate.
