- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
As an ASID professional, I am required to attend 10 hours of CEU classes every year. Past subject matter has covered a wide range of areas such as new trends in lighting, creating authentic historic homes and installation techniques for today's kitchen cabinetry and appliances. Each year there are classes in the new trends in color. One of the most memorable CEU's that I attended was on color: how we all react to color emotionally and physically. It has been very benefital to me in making color choices that reflect my clients needs.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
To be sure that you get the best service, knowledge and talent when you need interior design, select an accrediated interior designer with the designation of ASID behind their name, In the interior design field, acccrediation equals a quality education and proven tested and practical experience, as well as creativity and talent. Teal Michel has the ASID designation. Additionally look for an interior design professional who has won awards from ASID and other reliable sources, such as the Home Builder's Association, that further demonstrate that the designer's projects are outstanding.
