FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I work off of a tenth scale of 60 minutes. .1=6min, .2=12min, .3=18min, .4=24min, example--using the .5 range which equals 30 minutes time, if its before 36 minutes say 35, your labor time spent is rounded off to the next which will be .6 at $60 hrly, will be $36.00. now note: I charge a minimum of $30 as my minimum, so if there is a starter asm that needs to be rebuilt, it will be $30 plus parts, not including the parts in that price, for instance parts were 16.00 plus tax, 30 minutes on top would be $16 + $30 equals roughly $46 and parts tax
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
In working with a new customer, you have to gain their trust, which is crucial to your business in leading to a trustworthy repair. Info on repairs needed is crucial to your customers. Diagnostic is key, and the time frame it takes to repair properly. Also given a time frame of how long you will keep their machine and cost of the job needing repaired.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I go to schools every year to stay up to date with everything new coming out and any problems to repair multiple problems from any past engines or machines, you have to in the mechanical world because in todays times they don't make things like they used to and everything is safety oriented, also have to keep your customer safe and tell them what they can do and what they can't do, most of the issues now are starting already is protecting the ozone and keeping the gas fumes from the air, keeping it controlled in the engine so it gets burned and exhausted without harming the earth!
