I wish people knew the work involved in being a photographer that DOESN'T include taking pictures! From the training, to booking gigs, learning new software, making equipment decisions, the editing, organizing and safe-keeping of images, customer correspondence and much more. Probably only 5% of my time spent on my business is actually taking pictures. The end result is a quality that one must see to understand. Compare this to the guy that just bought a high-end, consumer-grade camera and wants to shoot your once-in-a-lifetime event for a really low price... In this instance, you get what your photographer puts into his craft.
