About
LOCATION: CHARLOTTE, NC
With my over 30 years of performance experience, one factor remains consistent in my teaching; breath support is the foundation of all great singing. It will not only help my students sing but sing in a healthy manner. By focusing on the foundation of good breath support, my students can sing any genre of music. Whether it be musical theater, pop, rock R&B, country, jazz, or opera.
l have been very successful with my high school students auditioning for the Blumeys. 3 of my students were selected to audition, 2 were selected to perform at the Blumeys, and one of those students was selected twice as a junior and a senior in 2022 and 2023.
I also specialize in college audition preparation. If you have a high school student who wishes to become a classical voice major or major in musical theater, please contact me directly for more information.
I have students all over the country and abroad, so I mainly teach online. I do have a few slots open for in-home lessons if you live with a 30-minute radius from my home. Please contact me directly if you are interested.

Angela is great! Would highly recommend her remote lessons. As more of a beginner, my classes had a focus on breath and technique, and unlearning bad habits. Her lessons are ideal for any level singer looking to practice and improve. She makes classes fun and interesting, and I always look forward to working with her!

I thoroughly enjoyed working with Angela. Within minutes she was able to pinpoint my weak areas, build my confidence levels and taught me how to sing like "me". I am looking forward to many additional lessons to come.

For me meeting with Angela was one of the best choices I have ever made. I had one lesson and after it I cried to my aunt and sister for 15 min because I was amazingly overwhelmed by her knowledge and kindness. She taught me things about myself I didn’t know and I am extremely grateful, just one lesson and I feel more confident in myself, so thank you Angela! I literally can’t wait for my next lesson

I’ve only had one session so far and it’s new to me. But I felt different vocally after one session and what she was helping me with made a HUGE difference and i know after practice and training I’ll be an expert singer!

I’ve been to enough vocal coaches to know that not all of them are created equally. After just one lesson with Michelle I was able to see the difference. My vocals were challenged which is exactly what I’ve been searching for.

Hi Jackie! I'm sure you meant to place this review with your new teacher, Michelle. How it got here, I don't know! I'm glad you were able to find a great coach!
Singing Lessons
FAQs
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
1 hour lessons are $85. 30-minute lessons are $42. Multiple lessons are sold in groups of 12 weeks and 9 weeks with discount pricing.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
For new students, I ask them to sing a song for me so that I may access their voice. We then do some ear training and then I teach them the correct way of breathing. I then have them apply to this new breathing to new vocal exercises that I team them.
With my continuing students, we have 10-15 minutes of vocal warm up exercises and then we work on their assigned music.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I attended the Aaron Copland School of Music at Queens College, CUNY. I have 30+ years of singing experience that has given me the chance to perform in famous venues across the US, Europe and Asia.
