John and his team refinished our hardwood floors for us, and I could not be more pleased with the job they did. John is a great communicator, he goes above and beyond to provide great service, and I would hire him again without any reservation. We refinished our red oak floors from a dark color to a light finish. They removed and refinished handrails and stairs, as well. We chose Bona Natural seal and finished with three coats (one Bona Domo and then two of Bona HD Traffic). The look and feel are top quality. Thanks to John and his team!

I would highly recommend John and his crew from Take the Floor for refinishing hardwoods. John is not only a very patient person but extremely easy to work with. He took the time to answer all of my questions and also went into detail on everything he and his men were going to do to get the job done. Very happy with the way my floor came out!

My floors are original to the house, Bruce Hardwood in Gunstock. They had never been refinished before and after 22 years of pets & people it was time. John responded right away and scheduled an appointment to quote sanding, re-staining, and sealing the floors, a little over 500 square feet. I also had new flooring installed in a room converted into an office. The price was very reasonable, and it took about a week to complete everything. The floors look better than the originals. You also cannot tell the difference between the new floor and the original. The transition strip was part of the original flooring. The guys completing the job were professional and worked extremely hard and made sure to cover as much in plastic as they could to avoid unnecessary dust. I am very pleased and would highly recommend this company.
