FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Each video is different depending on how much filming is needed for the amount of interviews and footage that needs to be filmed. Once we have our initial consultation I can give you a better idea of the final cost. Videos (fundraising, promotional, training video, highlight reel) $45/hr
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
With every project I do, I like to start by setting up an initial meeting in person or virtually to introduce myself, overview video expectations, and details. This usually takes about an hour going over topics such as interviews needed, locations of filming, footage needed, and dates of filming to get the ball rolling. From there, we move forward with a down payment and a signed contract to secure the date in my calendar. Once everything is confirmed, we will begin filming. I try to make this process as easy as possible making my interviewees comfortable in front of the camera and coming prepared with my own questions to ask to fulfill the overall purpose of the video. After all of the filming and footage has been gathered, I will begin the editing process. I will take care of everything from color correcting, audio, music, and overall organizational flow of the story. Once I have finished editing, I will send you a digital copy to review and ask for any revisions that you may have. I will then go back, fix these changes, and send you a final copy. Final payment can be made a few days after completion.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated from Central Michigan University with a degree in Broadcast & Cinematic Arts and a double minor in journalism and marketing. During my college experience is really where I started getting a lot of my hands-on experience in this field through multiple different avenues. Beginning my freshmen year, I got involved with my campus news station known as News Central 34 as an evening anchor on Monday's Wednesday's and Fridays. The summer going into my sophomore year I co-created and co-hosted my own community based TV talk show known as Livin' Live with a former classmate of mine, Kendall Ashman, at Orion Neighborhood Television. We produced and edited all of the content and successfully completed three 30 minute episodes in three months. During my sophomore year I became a multimedia journalist for News Central 34, created a 22-minute documentary about my running trip across the U.S with the 4K For Cancer, and then landed two internships my junior year; one at MACTV Network working on a community based talk show and the other at 9&10 News as an intern for the four show editing and shooting content as well as being responsible for social media and music. Now that I have graduated, I am a Videographer intern within Piedmont Airlines Corporate Communications team where I create internal and external videos for the company. I do freelance on the side to continue to dip into other industries and make some extra money.
