Paola Alcantar says, "I entirely recommend Lori's Language Lab.I am working with Lori as my coach and teacher for English as a second language.I am thrilled with the progress that I have achieved in a few weeks of working with her. She is a fantastic teacher; she understood my gaps and goals from the beginning. I am a computer engineer working with people worldwide, and English has become necessary. I never studied English formerly, and now that I am starting a new position as a Customer Success Manager, I want to convey my ideas and questions better, understand the customers, and be confident in myself.I recently joined one of the challenges from Lori's Language Lab, and I found the price affordable and excellent benefits. I enjoyed discussing topics that are part of life, for example, news from my local city, my thoughts about a situation, or my likes with more confidence rather than just finding myself talking about wheater again. I'll keep practicing using the recommendations provided by Lori!"See more

Hi, my name is Elisabeth. I’m a hardworking and dependable professional with experience in a variety of fields, especially in hospitality and customer-focused roles. I truly enjoy working with people and helping make their lives easier through organized, thoughtful, and reliable service. I’m very detail-oriented and naturally organized, which allows me to handle tasks efficiently and keep everything running smoothly. Over the years, I’ve worked in different environments and learned how to adapt quickly, communicate clearly, and provide a positive experience for every client. I speak five languages and come from an international background—I was born in Germany, raised with Ukrainian roots, and have lived in both Europe and the United States. This has helped me connect easily with people from all walks of life. I’m also a proud mom to my son, which has strengthened my sense of responsibility, patience, and time management. I’m especially passionate about supporting and working with women through various organizations and communities. If you’re looking for someone reliable, friendly, and committed to doing a great job, I’d love to work with you.See more

Mo V. says, "Trish is extremely cognizant of my needs as a student. She’s also a wonderful teacher who makes you feel at ease when corrected. These are some of the most important traits you need in a language teacher. It's hard to speak a second language correctly 100% of the time. I’ve lived in the US for 13 years now, and I still struggle with tenses, plurals, and colloquial terms. During our weekly sessions, Trish has been able to correct all of these weak points. I've learned the 'spirit' of English to speak more like a native speaker, which is my ultimate goal. She also helps me understand the nuance of tenses, something my husband has struggled to explain to me for the past 10 years. I'm just happy that I found Trish as my teacher, and I'm finally on my way to speaking even better English than ever."See more

YOU CAN TEACH a 4-7-YEAR-OLD TO READ AND I CAN HELP YOU! Three Types of Adult Support I Provide for Teaching Young Children: 1. Private coaching for parents or teachers, on an hourly basis on Zoom or in your home in the Seattle area ($60 per hour) 2. In-home consultations for parents where I can help you set up a nurturing and effective learning environment for your child ($100 per hour in the Seattle area *) 3. Seminars for parents, teachers, families, communities, churches, homeschool groups, PTAs, and friends who CAN teach 4-7-year-old children. Learn to read in a step by step, systematic, simple way! ($200 per hour) To be successful, parents and educators will find it invaluable to know: • How children learn • That 0-6-year-olds have an absorbent mind *, through which they effortlessly absorb information • That children love to learn • That there is a dependable, step by step reading sequence to follow that can empower anyone to teach • How to use hands-on reading materials that are like a series of card games so that children can almost teach themselves to read. See that these materials are tailored to the needs of young children • How to establish simple routines at home or school of 10-15 minutes per day where practicing or “playing with the materials” enables children to successfully read! • It is not difficult for most children to learn to read if they have the right tools and adults who understand a simple sequence. As a Montessori teacher with 25+ years' experience teaching reading and writing to children 4-7 years old, including my own six children, I am passionate about showing adults how they CAN teach children to read. Let’s start a revolution in learning! What I offer to Parents, Teachers, and All Who Would Support Children: 1. I provide private consultations and seminars for parents and teachers. If this is done in connection with tutoring, it will maximize the tutoring opportunity for children. Parents will be more conscious of developmental needs and will be more engaged. They can better understand and so support the child's efforts with hands-on reading materials. Simple feedback and demonstrations to you as your child is learning can be a great help. 2. I also provide seminars in which I communicate all of the above in further detail about how children learn and also lay out a clear sequence of how to teach reading. This can be step by step training for parents, teachers, and others! I use power points and other presentation materials to give detailed instructions about how to teach. I demonstrate the use of the materials and make recommendations. Understand how children learn and how to ensure the building of a successful reading foundation. *Please note I charge transportation fee of $1.00 per mile for transportation.See more
