FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I use a per sq. ft. rate for most projects and an hourly rate on smaller jobs. I use an engineer to do the structural portion of the plans and to seal the plans. His fee is paid separately by the client. This avoids any confusion and there is no price markup.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
After the initial phone call, I like to meet with the client at the work site to get a feel for the space and see how they are envisioning the project. During that time, I take pictures, get measurements, and document what the client is planning. From there, I start putting the information into CAD for an initial set for the clients to review. Once we have everything finalized I produce the final set and send to the engineer (if necessary for a structural markups and seal), then to the client to begin the build.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have an Associates of Applied Science in Drafting and Design and a Bachelor of Science in Business - Project Management and Administration Construction Management. Currently pursuing my Interior Design certification from the New York Institute of Arts and Design.
