- What types of customers have you worked with?
The most common types of tax preparation I do for clients are annual tax preparation. The second most common type of service I provide is assisting clients in preparing responses to notices received from Federal and State taxing agencies. Most of often the situations require repairing or amending previously filed tax returns prepared by other tax preparer.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
My advice for a customer looking to hire a provider is to prepare several test questions. A professional tax preparer or accountant should have a reserve of knowledge at his/her disposal that would allow him/her to readily answer most questions. Also, if possible, have one question that cannot be answered, to gauge whether the preparer or accountant attempts to answer the question or defer to research.
