Renard and the Renovate Fitness team were awesome. I love the fact that you can get personal training, but in a small group setting (5-8 people during the sessions I went to). At Renovate, trainers are supportive and they push you and encourage you to do better for yourself. At 40, I made a commitment this year to invest in my health so that I can be around a lot longer for my 3 kids. 2 years removed from knee surgery, with nerve damage in my elbow, and a bit overweight and definitely out of shape, I was struggling to put in the work required to get myself back into good physical condition on my own at my local gym. I was completely lacking motivation and was out of the practice of pushing myself physically. I've been with a personal trainer before and didn't find that the value exceeded the cost, so I was definitely hesitant to try it again. You feel a little sticker shock with personal trainers until you break it down to how much a session actually costs and also realize how much you spent on crap that had no lasting benefit. That all said, I took a shot with Bryant. The value was noticed within the first week. Bryant has a special talent for knowing when you're being blocked physically and being blocked mentally. When it's physical, he will switch gears or pull back just enough so that you get the work in and break that sweat and burn those calories. When it's mental, he has tricks to get you over that mental hurdle and break that personal best. He also has nutrition advice and checks your weight and measurements to make sure you are staying on track. I went a little overboard on my vacation. We worked it out ;) I'm down 15lbs (first time I've been under 200lbs since college), dropped 3 waist sizes and I can feel strength coming back to me and my endurance has improved dramatically in 3 short months. I feel great both mentally and physically. Lastly, it's been fun. Bryant has a great personality and although he makes sure you put in the work, we have some laughs too. I'm really glad I took the leap and chose Bryant. I'm getting great results and I look forward to continuing my training with him.
When I set out to find options for exercise and a life adjustment I originally went to fitness centers. I came across BodyByCheeko online. I set up and appointment and immediately decided this would be my trainer. He listened to what I was looking to accomplish and also told me what I would need to do to accomplish that. He also did a 30 minute workout with me at the first visit. He has been my trainer since May 2013. 2 THUMBS UP
I've worked out with trainers most of my adult life. I'm by no means a true athlete or even someone that is dying to go workout. I am definitely that person that needs a reason to show up for a workout :). I met Leigh Ann almost 5 years ago. She was interviewing me and I was interviewing her :). I didn't want to work with someone that had a certification from a random 40 class and she wanted to make sure I was going to work hard and take exercise seriously...I respect that. Since I've started working out with Leigh Ann I've noticed a HUGE difference in the way my body reacts to exercise. She has taught me so much about nutrition, exercise in general, and that most people fall off the wagon occasionally...so don't beat yourself up about it. Just get back to it! I've had a few minor injuries over the years that were caused by other activities. Leigh Ann has always effectively worked around whatever is bothering me while still giving me an awesome workout!!! I trust her, she has an extensive background in exercise science... that coupled with her years of experience always makes me feel confident that I am in good hands. I could really go on and on about what a fabulous trainer Leigh Ann is but don't just take my word for it...you wont regret it!
Dawn is an awesome trainer and friend! I met Dawn 8 years ago in one of her kickboxing classes and followed her to every gym and class she taught. I come from an athletic background and found her classes exciting and challenging enough to push me to my goals. I decided to write an article for Bodybuilding.com about Dawn and her classes as I was very impressed with her knowledge and ability to encourage a class full of every ability level. There were times that her classes were so large at some of the gyms she taught at that they had to turn people away. I'm happy now that she has her own space to teach! Last year I hired Dawn as my personal trainer to help me get back on the fitness competition stage. She was both supportive in the gym and in my personal life to keep me on track. I had an outstanding 2012 season becoming the Model Carolina Champion, Model SuperBody Champion and Model America Classic Champion after losing 42 pounds. I highly recommend Dawn for both her BootCamps as well as Personal Training.
Over the last several years I've worked with a variety of trainers and after having now met and had my first training session with Rob, I am both eager to train with him again and excited to see where his expertise will take my body. His level of commitment to the success of my workout is one that is unparalleled any other trainer. Being a detail oriented person myself, it was great to see Rob take that same level of pride in his own work. His preparedness allowed me to obtain a higher quality workout in half the time, meaning one hour versus the two I was spending at the gym on my own. Plus - having my entire routine mapped out on his tablet with scheduled (45 second) breaks I felt great knowing that he had planned what we would be working on and not just arbitrarily rattled off exercises that "most girls like to do" like other trainers in the past. He not only introduced me to several new exercises but also corrected postural errors that I had learned from others (and I immediately felt the difference!). At the sake of being too lengthy, I'll just say, On the Brink of Fitness with Rob is where its at, just give it a shot and see for yourself!

Over the years I have experienced numerous sport-related injuries such as broken bones, muscle, ligament and tendon tears, as well as strains and sprains. In each instance the physical therapy prescribed only addressed the immediate issue, not the underlying cause or resulting problems. I can gratefully say that Charles has designed a program for me to rehab my entire body, both old and more recent injuries. The success of the program is that I have less pain, more flexiblity, and a better understanding of my body mechanics as a whole.
When it comes to health, looks and physics is vital to count on the help of professional that's why I came across with the idea of getting a trainer. DARREL is a physical trainer with great knowledge and skills. HE HAS BEEN PROVING dedication, effort, motivation to help me achieve my goals. The workout is nice, intense, fun, it hurts, burns, but after that you feel great, and out of the street I can promise People will look at you!!! it has been already my second week training with him and I don't have any regret. Punctual and always on time a dependable trainer you can trust on! I tell you he will work you out, so be prepared if that's what you really want. I can see the changes already, I feel so much better, I am telling you by myself at the gym I wouldn't be able to accomplish what I am accomplishing with him. Kareem is a great trainer, he will push you to limits you would not think you could reach, but he will also make sure you are comfortable at the same time, he has various workouts also for each part of the body you would like to work, and he taught some boxing lessons, but the most important thing to me is that Kareem is a good mentor to me and has a lot of knowledge on life, and is very respectful, i can go and talk to him about anything, Kareem is the man!!

I switched to this gym after 3 years of Crossfit training elsewhere... in that amount of time, my double unders have drastically improved, my weights on several of my lifts have gone up, and, I did my very first pull ups. Bea and the other coaches are attentive and give great personal direction to each athlete and the community is great!
Trevor is an amazing trainer. He works hard to have great energy the entire time throughout the workout. No other instructor will break down and help teach you exercises in such a good manner. I've started training 3x a week with Trevor and have seen significant changes with my body, confidence and agility. I enjoy that Trevor keep me accountable of my food intake and when I'm not training with him. I particularly enjoy resistance stretching exercises he can teach me that I can do at home. But I enjoy to do personal training as well as boxing with him every week.
Albert was very professional and knowledgeable about fitness and message. I frequently participate in weight lifting competitions so I came to him for a sports massage to relieve pain and discomfort. Not only did he provide a superior massage, but he took his time and explained to me tips on how to warm up prior to weight-lifting, as well as showed me how to maximize my lift. What an excellent experience! I will definitely be going back.
The Coaches at CrossFit Broadreach are compassionate, yes - but they are really focused on results. Functional fitness at it's best - CFB brings challenging workouts that you tackle on an individual skill level, while working within a group (everyone in that hour begins and works on the same skills together, each person works to improve their skill level) -- no one finishes alone. The community and friendships that develop are absolutely amazing. Both are important qualities that elevate CFB from *any* place you may have attended in the past. Every coach is passionate about working with you, is invested in your personal fitness journey -- and -- every time you hit a goal, they are your loudest cheerleaders! (Then you get super excited to set a bigger, faster, better, heavier, etc. NEW goal!) CrossFit Broadreach has truly changed my life. I look forward to pushing myself, discovering what I am capable of achieving, and more importantly: recognizing the areas where I need to work to gain technique and strength. When I joined in 2015, I weighed 200 pounds and could barely do any of the movements in class - Coach always had scaled options for me, movements that nudged me out of my comfort zone - but laid out an attainable goal for that single hour. I still scale many of the workouts, but I am always focused on getting better.. I encourage anyone with even a slight curiosity to come to CFB and learn more.
I am a first-time Thumbtack (and Vinnie Papandrea) user, and I am happy to report the experience has been remarkable! I requested a personal trainer to work out with me at my home and help me get some version of my pre-baby body backbefore my 40th birthday, which was six months away. I was connected with Vinnie and began working out a few days later. Vinnie is awesome. We do circuit training with free weights, squats, lunges, jumping jacks, sit ups and lots of other quick, strenuousbut funexercises. I never get bored because we're always changing activities, and my heart rate stays up for the whole hour. The best part? The boxing. At the end we get in 20 minutes of straight cardio with boxing exercises. As an advertising executive and a mom of a really smart and busy three and a half-year-old, I really like burning off calories and extra steam boxing with Vinnie. I don't really enjoy exercising for exercising's sake, but I am having a whole lot of fun getting in shape with Vinnie. He's great at conversation, he's great at kicking your butt when you need it, and he's really great at getting results. I am very happy that I look and feel better after just two months.

Gleason Fitness has done a great job in providing solid workouts with a variety of different and challenging exercises. She is very responsive and quick to provide proper technique assistance during workouts. I highly recommend her as a trainer.
Ryan is an outstanding fighter and a very well rounded martial artist. Being a Thai Boxing practitioner myself, he has taught me ways to counter powerful kicks, how to use a Defender (R), and how to both execute and defend myself from a variety of grapes, particularly from bigger opponents. He is passionate about self defense and combat.
