We understand what they want and we deliver. Our weddings are all different, we work with menus but we create menus as well. We believe that in a wedding menu, this one should be a reflection of the bride's and groom's taastebuds that is why we create and let them taste first and after their approval we incorporate it into the wedding menu. We are into "details" menu signs, buffet table according to theme, decor and colors everything is matching what the bride and groom have had as vision of their special day. The creation of the menu that satisfies a customer. Letting the customer taste our food and when they really dont know what to pick. The weeks after a wedding we realized that we have bonded so much with the bride that we become closer and closer. We still have our first client as one of our best friends and we still have every bride still as person of our circle and the same brides refer us to other new brides. We love "word of mouth" referral, is our pride.

We used them for wedding coordination. When we met with Leo and Alexis, we had the majority of things done, we just needed help with the final detail and day of events. They did a wonderful job. The wedding day went of wonderfully, if there were any problems, I was not aware, which is what you hope for during your wedding. Leo made sure all the vendors were ready, even with the day of change due to the rain. Most people did not even realize that it was our backup ceremony space due to how well everything went down. They made sure all the rental items got back to the vendors, so I did not have to worry about any of that after the wedding. Overall a fantastic job!

Chef Alexis is knowledgeable, creative, experienced and eager to try something different to make sure your menu is exactly how you want it. Consistently I saw him err on the side of fresher and culturally appropriate ingredients, cooking techniques that bring out best flavors and maximize the final quality of ingredients etc. Leo is an awesome part of the AV team-he helped us find the perfect venue, figure out the timeline, the set up, etc. During the wedding, he came up with solutions for any problems that arose and ran them quickly by us to make sure we were happy with that approach. Definitely recommend these guys.

I can't say enough wonderful things about Chef Alexis and Leo for the job they did for our engineering office in Raleigh! We had a team of about 30 come in for a 2 day conference and AV handled everything so beautifully and the food was amazing! Lunch both days and breakfast one morning. No one could believe we had an omelette bar in our office! Everyone raved about how classy the entire 2 day event was. Very professionally presented and fresh. I would recommend highly if you want to impress!

My husband turned 50 this year, and we decided it would be fun to have a chef come to our home (July 5, 2014) to cook a wonderful meal for our family of 5 plus our extended family. Wow!!! What an amazing experience and wonderful birthday celebration! Chefs Alex, Leo, and their assistant, Ashanta, were incredible to work with. I found them on Thumbtack, and was a little nervous going in. They instantly put me at ease with their great ideas, their awesome personalities, and their aim to please. It was so easy to work with them from start to finish. They planned and grocery shopped in just 5 days (I unfortunately did not give them much advance notice.) Our menu was incredible. We started the evening with delicious appetizers, including brie in croute with raspberry served with assorted crackers, shrimp, homemade salsa and guac, chicken Florentine roulade on crackers, and bruschetta on crostini. All beautifully presented and delicious! Next, we were seated for salads (bowls made of cucumber!), and then our entrees. Amazing presentation, and everything was delectable. For dinner, our guests had the choice of filet --or mahi with mango salsa. The entrees were served with mashed potatoes and green beans. Again amazing flavor and presentation. Clean plates all around. After dinner, we were treated to an incredible assortment of desserts pear and blueberry cobbler, lemon meringue tartlets, chocolate torte, and meringue with chocolate kisses. We were in heaven. Our guests were so pleased and impressed with everything and kept complimenting the chefs throughout the evening. After each course, Alex, Leo, and Ashanta were so great about cleaning up and making sure we were happy. They went above & beyond to make sure we got exactly what we wanted out of our catering experience. They expertly handled every detail -- even last-minute floral arrangements. (Beautiful and affordable!) AV Catering was everything I had hoped for (and more!) in a chef/caterer. I would highly recommend them to anyone who was looking for a great chef/catering company for their event. -- Ronnie G.
