When I first contacted A Third Hand with questions, Meghan was very quick to respond, much faster than the other recommended companies. I had concerns about the quality of work based on the rather low price quote I received, but the many strong reviews from others on Thumbtack convinced me to give the company a try. Meghan stayed in contact throughout the process, especially on the day of service. The floors, shelves, baseboard, shower, and appliances were all cleaned very well, much better than I would have done! I highly recommend A Third Hand and if I was still living in Raleigh, I would certainly hire Meghan and her assistants on a regular basis!

All I needed Keith to do was pick up a mattress and a box spring, a desk chair, and an old mirror for disposal. He arrived timely and did exactly that. He was very quick, and I don't even think he was here for more than 15 minutes. My only complaint is that he only takes cash and I am not a cash carrier.

Charles helped mow my lawn, trim the weeds and unwanted scrubs, and removed two large and overgrown bushes from my lawn, filling the holes with dirt. He disposed of the weeds and bushes he removed from my yard and did all of this for a reasonable price. He was timely, worked very hard and made my yard look better than it has ever looked before! I would recommend his services!

I received a quote from Roderick to replace our garbage disposal and was very pleased that he was able to come out the same day to do the replacement. He was very personable and completed the job quickly. I wish there were more service providers out there like Roderick who understood that just because the repair is necessary, doesn't make it right to charge a small fortune to complete the task - but at least now I have contact with someone who I know will do a great job and charge a price that is in-line with the amount of time needed to complete the job.

Hired Ryan to assess and repair or replace a garbage disposal at one of my rental properties. As an out of state landlord I struggle with contractor honesty and integrity but Ryan came through. He could have easily upcharged me for a replacement but was able to repair for a reasonable fee. I will be using him again.

Mario was prompt for his appointment and came with all his tools. He quickly diagnosed several problems I'd had around the house. The longest one was replacing broken garbage disposal. I was impressed with how carefully he checked for leaks, cleaned up trash, and left things tidy. He communicates well, and when he needed to buy the new disposal, advised me what the extra drive would cost. His pricing is perfectly reasonable and I will hire him again for any repairs in the future. I've asked for an estimate to paint my home interior and hope to afford that. Again, he leaves things tidy which seems promising for a painter. Overall a good worker whom I will recommend to neighbors.
