I recently completed a remodel of my kitchen, dining room, and living room with Studio One Nine Interior Design, and I cannot recommend Marlaya enough! I had never worked with an interior designer before and was honestly very nervous about the process. I wasn’t sure what to expect, and I felt overwhelmed trying to pull my ideas together on my own. Marlaya was exactly what I needed—professional, creative, and incredibly supportive from start to finish. She really took the time to listen to what I wanted, offered thoughtful suggestions, and never pushed her own agenda. She made the entire process smooth and enjoyable, and the end result exceeded my expectations. The space looks absolutely amazing, and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. I’ll definitely be calling on Marlaya again when it’s time to tackle my master bedroom and bathroom remodel!

Marlaya is incredibly responsive before, during, and after consultation, and she will give you truthful and helpful feedback, opinions, and ideas - and tell you kindly but directly if your ideas may not work and why. She cares about your style preferences rather than her personal ones as some designers do, and she takes your home's build and architecture into account (a 70's Carolina brick ranch simply doesn't have the soul to transform into a modern beach house or rustic mountain cabin!). Price for a single day consult is a bit steep but on par with other designers, and we were very pleased with her service and so would definitely recommend!

Working with Marlaya at Studio One Nine Design was one of the best decisions I could have ever made!!! From the time I hired Marlaya, she was very attentive to my needs, fast in response to emails, and just all around lovely to work with! Marlaya really took the time to want to know me and my story so that she may better serve and assist me as a customer. This was my first time working with an interior designer and I have to admit, I was a bit nervous. Marlaya reassured me from start to finish that I was in good hands. She was very professional, patient, and easy to work with. And even when we had problems with one of the contractors, Marlaya was very understanding and diligent with taking care of the issue in a swift profession manner. She is truly a God send!! Marlaya turned my space into a beautiful, calm and peaceful environment! Now I never want to leave my bedroom and when I do, I can't wait to get back home and relax! On reveal day, I cried because I could hardly believe it was the same bedroom! And even when I had doubts along the way, Marlaya encouraged me to trust her and the process and I am so glad I did!! Marlaya is very competent in what she does and I can't wait to work with her on future projects! If you are having any doubts; DON'T! Hire Marlaya and I can assure you that you will NOT be disappointed!!
