When the question of how they can change and still support themselves and/or their families comes up that tends to be an immediate stop! With over 20 years experience as a personal financial planner and 8 years as a teacher and coach, I can help you to find a way to structure your financial life to support the life you desire. The Life Business Course was an eye-opener for me. As a coach, I thought I had a pretty good map of what I wanted, but Jerry helped me see beyond that to what I couldn't even dream of. Change can be difficult, even when you know that something has to give. Jerry's Life Business workshop is central to how I am negotiating possibilities for living differently. The first workshop helped me to balance my activities so that all the things that are important to me had time on my schedule. This allowed me to regain energy after a debilitating life experience. The follow-on workshop deepened my commitment to change and introduced me to an accountability partner who has since invited me into her extended family. This was quite unexpected, is delightful, and continues to be an important part of my well-being. On-going coaching sessions with Jerry are now focused on attitudes and tasks that support my goals. I see what a more satisfying life means for me, am well on my way to manifesting it, and will continue to support that life with Jerry's very valuable input. Jerry challenges you to take a hard look at the box you've put yourself in. He started me on a path of self-employment that is more satisfying than any "job" I've ever had AND, more importantly, I have time to play! Finally, I am free of the "shoulds:" "I should work more/make more money. I should be an accountant because that's what I went to college to do. I should do the dishes instead of taking a nap in the hammock." Down with the shoulds!

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
One of my clients was very dissatisfyed with her work situation. She was looking for a change and was unclear on direction. At our first session I helped her realize that what she really loved to do was work with horses and to live near the beach. She felt she could not afford to pursue either. We developed a plan to allow her to freelance as a "CFO for hire" and she reached her target income in 3 months while working part time. This allowed her the time to volunteer at a horse farm and begin to save for a beach house. Now a year or so later, she has already purchased the beach house, and will be relocating there this month. She continues her freelance work part time and her income works to support the life she finds most satisfying. At the same time, she is enjoying her work like never before! (The only down side is she is moving out of town, so I will get to see her less frequently :-).
