Troy Installed two exterior doors (a pre-hung door and storm door) going from our garage into a small foyer that leads to our living room. The project included removing an old door (original to our house built in 1978). Troy did a beautiful job; my husband was duly impressed and that doesn't happen often. Troy worked diligently until the job was completed, which took a little longer than originally expected and provided some materials I forgot to pick up...such as nails, a foot board base for above the stairs/below the door, and some molding. He did not alter the agreed upon price at all.
We had Troy look at several other projects we need completed and he was very upfront about the time requirements (especially for the tile repair in our kitchen), which I had grossly underestimated. He also supplied some wonderful suggestions that were more cost effective.
Unlike many contractors, Troy was:

Respectful
We will definitely be using Troy in the future for our home repairs/improvements.

First time using thumbtack and Troy Skinner from Triangle Maintenance Pro's. Troy was transparent and accurate on his bid. Communication and scheduling was a snap. Troy showed up on time, was very professional and did quality work. He cleaned up and took away all the waste materials. No complaints at all. Asked Troy to consider some additional work for me and I will be giving his name out readily to friends.

Wonderful experience. Troy was always prompt, professional and personable. The work he did (cleaning gutters, replacing a piece of rotted siding, caulking our front porch, and rehanging shutters) was done very well, and Troy was very clear about the pricing up front. No surprises whatsoever. Plan to hire Troy and Triangle Maintenance Pros whenever my next job pops up...

I was a little concerned about how slow he worked- especially because he charges by the hour!!!!
He was unwilling to come see what job entailed- said he would have to charge me a half day rate if $150 to do it.
No other contractor charged for quotes. Then took 1 and1/2 hours to go to Homedepo to get supplies and charged me for that time. Homedepo was 3 minutes from my house and he needed 2 things

This review came as quite a surprise to me considering that she had hired me twice and praised my work on several occasions including with which she had told me that her husband would call again with another list of work to do.
In response I would like to say that we never charge for quotes and I am willing to do a bid for any job: however, for small jobs I recommend to the customer that it is cheaper for them to pay by the day as it saves them money and saves me time.
A day includes 8 hours time: If the supplies are on site the job goes faster, but if I have to pick up materials during this time it is calculated into job time. I also would like to add that it was three stores in one hour time to find correct hinges for cabinets and matching caulk for shower, not to mention the two uncharged trips for more than an hours time.
In retrospect I feel that this issue arose at the end of the job because I had informed this client that I was booked for the next five weeks and my summer prices would increase in March.
I would ask that all potential customers please consider my many years of wonderful reviews and terrific customers that I have and will service for years.

Hiring Troy Skinnerâs company, Triangle Maintenance Pros, to complete our laundry list of home repairs was a great decision! He is very knowledgeable and conscientious of his work throughout the duration of the job. He gives accurate price quotes and finishes work on time. He went out of his way to prioritize his work to not wake our sleeping baby, while still finishing the job flawlessly and on time.
