- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Photography pricing is based on how long I believe the session will take, how long the editing will probably be, how far I have to travel, how many people are in the picture, possible problems etc. Do I bring my studio to you or do you meet me here? What are the ages involved? Younger children make for longer sessions. How much emotion and stress will be involved? This is especially true for weddings.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm always learning new techniques to edit. Technology is moving so fast, though, that it is hard to keep up.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
My photography printer and my photo framers told me to get into it. I was doing it as a side hobby and they said I have a special way of dealing with light that they rarely see. They're always excited to see what I come up with.
