Introduction: I have 6 years of professional teaching experience and 20 years of playing experience. I enjoy teaching students of all ages and levels, from beginner to advanced, and try to adjust to each individual student's interests and goals. I currently teach violin lessons online from my home studio and to college students as Adjunct Instructor of Violin at Appalachian State University. I have availability to teach new students either online or in person (with some safety precautions in place during this time.) Let's get started!

Kelsey Philbrick is an outstanding teacher of Violin! Her knowledge of technique and repertoire is wonderful, but more importantly she has a gift for reaching out to her students and guiding them into talented musicians. Kelsey is adept at understanding the needs of each student, whether young or advanced, and instilling in them a love for the Violin. She is able to blend musical styles from Classical to Folk, and is willing to work with each student’s specific desires. Kelsey’s teaching abilities span from connecting to the youngest ages, to the “chill” needs of the teenager! Study with Kelsey; your child will gain a solid knowledge of Violin and emerge a happier and successful string player.
