FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge $25 an hour to work with you and your dog. My goal is to empower you with the knowledge to lead the dog.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I begin by meeting you and your dog. I'm assessing your relationship and how your dog views you. From there, I give you some basic knowledge of dogs and help you to come up with a plan. I want you to do the work, because that's how you build a relationship and the understanding of what a dog needs to become balanced. If the behavior is too dangerous for you to work through, we can arrange for your dog to come to me for a while. I don't put time on a dog so price would have to be discussed on a case by case basis.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been involved with dogs since I was 16, bathing and showing St Poodle puppies with a neighbor who got me started. I have worked for a boarding kennel, Veterinarians, and grooming shops. In 1995 I bought my first grooming shop and in 5 years bought the boarding kennel I had been involved with for 25 years. Throughout all of these years I have had a passion for rescue, but have done most of it since moving to Jacksonville in 2002. I have trained with Cesar Millan,of the tv series Dog Whisperer, Leader Of The Pack, and Cesar 911. I have also been volunteering and fostering with Carolina Animal Protection Society, a non profit rescue organization, here in Jacksonville.
