About this pro

How does your business stand out?

My work shows not only attention to detail, but expression. I put my entire self into my painting and feel that it shows. For me, painting murals is not just a job, its a passion and a love.

What do you enjoy about the work you do?

Meeting new people and helping them turn their home or business into a work of art. Murals are not like canvas prints. They aren't thrown around or put in a garage sale pile. Murals are life sized and unique. Meeting new people and seeing the reactions when a mural is complete (especially children) is amazing!

We had Megan design and paint a full wall mural in our church nursery. She did an amazing job with the mural, and it truly is a masterpiece that will be there to enjoy for many years to come. Thanks again! !

Megan did an AMAZING Aruba mural in our Living Room!!! We absolutely LOVE it.....couldn't be happier:-)))). She was very accommodating.....she even came back out again to add a few things to our wonderful masterpiece! We were worried at first that she might be uneasy or petrified of heights, but she had absolutely no problem painting 20 feet in the air on scaffolding equipment!!! I highly recommend her....we will most definitely be calling her back in the future to paint another BEAUTIFUL piece in our home!!!

We were highly impressed with the quality, uniqueness, and speed in which our paintings were done. It is the centerpiece of our nursery. Plan on having more done in the future!

Megan is the best I've seen. Her paintings are so realistic. She painted a family tree in my livingroom in about an hour. She is amazing!

I have been looking for someone to draw my father in laws old and recent Hot Rods for a Christmas Gift because I really didnt have the time to do them myself. I came across Megan from a Group that we both are in and her prices were reasonable along with the turn around time specially that close to Christmas. I recieved it back within 2 weeks and it was Great along with very detailed, definitely better than what I would have done in a short period of time. I will most definitely use her talent again in the near future. A+ Drawer and Painter !!!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Nothing complicated here! I charge a flat rate which includes all supplies, time and travel.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am always looking up new techniques, online classes and trying out new things at home to practice even more.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have been an artist since I could hold a brush, but canvas paintings began to lose their excitement. The idea to do murals came to me out of the blue one day. I had painted a small mural at my Mother-in-laws a year earlier and thought it was a great plan to expand my horizons and start my own business. Soon after posting my first ad online, business started booming and it hasn't slowed down much since!
What types of customers have you worked with?
My most common jobs are murals for a child's room or trees. People like to hand pictures on the limbs of trees - I believe that was a Pinterest-inspired idea!
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I recently completed a job of a beach scene for a youth center in Kannapolis. It turned out amazing!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
I would advise a customer to have a general idea of what they need done. I am honored when people tell me to "Do whatever I want, just make it pretty" because I know they trust me - but I would rather a customer be a little more detailed.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
I feel that some clients don't understand the differences between a complex mural and an easy one. Some things are simple for me but others are more time consuming because I can see the extra time involved before I begin whereas the customer never noticed how detailed that particular part would be.
