FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I generally like to have a good understanding of what your project entails before doing a site visit. Once we meet and talk over all the details I will provide a free estimate and will be available for any remaining questions you may have upon receiving the estimate. Once you agree to terms we get you on the schedule and the fun begins. I will be very communicative throughout the process, and will also be on-site or available to you throughout the process to make sure everything is going as planned.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am constantly keeping up with new products and innovations throughout the building industry. I love learning and am constantly looking for certifications (even though I don't advertise that stuff) to make sure I am keeping up with changes and have my general knowledge for things I work on. I have been around construction for half of my life, but honestly that can only mean so much. I've learned it really depends on the individual and who they learn from. I don't pretend to know everything, and I constantly put my trust in subs who do one certain thing every day of their lives to execute at a high level.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started out doing handyman work as a teenager where I learned a decent bit about all trades. I then became a site superintendent building out restaurants and working closely with all trades to understand processes. I decided to get back to residential work and became a project manager with a small company. It was a tough decision to leave, but I got my GC license and started working for myself and here I am.
