FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Black Cat Sealcoating is not new but it is reopened. It is the daughter company of Pyle Stone Asphalt and Concrete LLC. Which that company performed heavy construction work. We formed Black Cat Sealcoating and Concrete to provide the general homeowner with a service that is operated by highly skilled workers. Our knowledge and skill base surpasses basic home maintenance. We can use materials that are normally used in Highway or airport work or heavy building construction. We are familiar with their uses and applications. It requires heavy duty tools and knowledge of the properties of these materials to use them. We can also use materials that are more user friendly as well. if I think the job requires Extra heavy duty materials I can order that and be confident on its use. Or use light home maintenance materials and be confident on its use as well. When a job requires heavy duty skills we got that. When its light work. We got that too.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When we read your job requests we will try to give a general cost. But there are a lot of unforeseen conditions that have to be included on the estimate. If the estimate is TOO LOW it can mean there is not enough cash to get over any snags. And then the money to pay for the snags will be taken from labor. So I want to do a good job and be able to foresee all the possible conditions. And I can only know that by a view of every aspect of the job. Will the concrete truck need to park on the street or in the driveway? Will I encounter any rock? Will I need to order extra concrete. The amount of concrete needed to finish the job is crucial on whether the job gets done. Once its started you cannot alter the plans. The amount that arrives has to be enough to get the job done. When measuring for concrete adding 10 sf to the project can mean you have to order One more whole cubic yard of concrete. So we cannot give a quote unless we confirm the measurements.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
