Introduction: Hi there! Thanks for visiting my page. I've been teaching music for over 10 years now, notably on guitar, bass, and ukulele. Teaching and playing music are my passions and what I know I am meant to do in life. I look forward to working with you towards your musical goals together. What sets me apart as a teacher is my approach to teaching and my vast experience gained over the past 10 years, working at the collegiate level and regularly working with people of all musical ages and levels of experience. My past and current students can attest to my ability to relate information in a relevant, understandable, and practical way. Oftentimes, students are not given an explanation as to why they are learning something, and why it’s important. As my students better understand the “why” of music, they appreciate and understand the applicability of the material, and consequently can bring their own musical abilities to greater heights. As a teacher, I understand that there are multiple learning styles, and therefore strive to meet each of my students where they learn best.

Guitar Lessons

Dan went into great detail and provided recorded zoom meetings and lesson material for me to review and learn at my own pace. I enjoyed Dan’s teaching style; he made learning fun for me while challenging and improving my guitar skills. A great mentor for anyone indeed.

Guitar Lessons

Dan is teaching my son to play the electric guitar. He is a patient, thoughtful, dedicated, and talented instructor. He provided a great deal of guidance and advice even before our first lesson, it helped my son get off on the right foot, and the experience has been nothing short of stellar since those first discussions with him. It’s obvious that Dan is passionate about two things, 1) making music and 2) teaching and sharing how that is done. It comes through genuine and clear in every lesson and has translated to my son’s interest and dedication to practicing the craft. I feel very lucky to have found Dan, and would wager you will few the same if you contact for his services.

Guitar Lessons

I had my first lesson with Dan. Before the lesson he made sure to send on all resources. During the lesson, Dan was friendly and offered a great learning experience. He is sure to make each minute count. Afterwards he sends the exercise so you can practice in your own time.

Dan has been my son guitar instructor for 2 years. My son loves his guitar lessons and I have seen so much growth and confidence in him since his lessons began. He is very patient and detailed in his lessons. He is reliable. I love that after each lesson he will send videos to enforce whatever the lesson was for our session. This is so helpful to my son. Dan has shown so much professionalism and knowledge as a guitar instructor. We are looking forward to more lessons.

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I schedule students out by the month, so when you sign up with me you've got a guaranteed appointment every week on the same day and time for that month! For your protection and mine I do ask for the month's payment on the first lesson of each month. If you need to cancel, or reschedule for any reason I ask that you give me at least 24 hours notice. Lessons that are missed without notice, or cancelled last minute (barring any unforsee emergency) will be counted as a lesson and debited from the pre-paid monthly rate. My rates are $35 for a half hour, 50$ for 45 minutes, and $60 for a whole for either online, or in person lessons at my home studio. I do travel to do lessons at students homes. The price for a lesson at your home is $75 for an hour.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

First we will have a free phone, or in person consultation to see if we will be a good match for one another. From there we can determine a day a day, time, and medium for our lessons!

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Ocean's Edge University 2009, 2011 Certificate Visible Music College 2021 Bachelors in Modern Music Excellence Award Recipient for the Guitar Department at Visible Music College
