Simply put, I do the job to my own satisfaction first, viewing the customer's wishes as my own and then achieving them to the customer's satisfaction. I can feel a lot better about the tasks at hand by simply putting the customer's perspective as my own after reviewing the current state of affairs and establishing an agreed-upon solution to satisfy both customer and code.
