- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
There is absolutely nothing complicated about my pricing. I charge a flat fee for my services and I let the client know exactly what it will be up front. No stress and no surprises.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I read a great deal and I attend seminars and conferences every year.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
My older sister is a designer and I grew up booking wallpaper for her. My dad was very well known as the best painter in Eastern North Carolina. I would help him paint these historic homes and he would tell me stories about them. I have always had a love affair with homes. When my sister and I restored a 1909 Farmhouse from abandonment to beauty, I received a great deal of praise. People started asking me to help them. So I went back to school and opened a design firm in Denver. Now 1006 projects later, I'm more in love than ever.
